    Firefox 3.5

All the good stuff that firefox has was copied from Opera, they had it first - they are innovators and all the excellent stuff is standard on Opera - not ad ons. Firefox is pretty good - I sometimes use it, but Opera is tight. Customized to your preferences its a thoroughly enjoyable browsing experience. straight out the box is it may seem odd, but once tweaked it's gold. Its also consistently regarded as the safest browser, heck even hackers being honest say you should use it.

    Tokitsukaze Beya Rikishi Court Case

He's done so now, it is being reported today, and the problem the Kyokai faces is the same as it was with the high-flying Russians - the recently introduced changes to the severance payment rules (themselves not exactly the harsh new regulations they were originally advertised as) probably cannot be applied to ex-Tokitsukaze who was laid off in October 2007. The amount he may be eligible to receive is said to total approximately 20 million yen. The issue was provisionally discussed in last week's rijikai meeting, and for now Musashigawa-rijicho merely voiced the customary "no comment", citing the suddenness of this unexpected demand. surely they cant give this scumbag any money??? Public opinion of the NSK would surely sink to new
  8. This thread is pointless with Sokkenayama in it, s/he can't have a reasonable debate with anyone. There is a word for people like that.
  9. ?? 1. Asashoryu in their last 6 encounters they are 3-3. A fit Asashoryu is equal to a fit Hakuho. 2. Don't knock Harumafuji his is improving and only getting better - Hakuho has plateau-ed (admittedly a very high plateau) and at this moment in time he will only be caught up. Like Asashoryu, Haruma and Hakuho are 3-3 in their last six encounters . Hakuho in 13-7 lifetime against Haruma but if you look closely at recent form since Sept 2007: Harumafuji is 7-6 against Hakuho. Hakuho put 7 unanswered victories against Haruma from their hatsu-kao in March 2004 in Juryo until July 2007. it was Sekiwake -v- M2, Ozeki -v- Komusubi, Ozeki -v- M6, Ozeki -v- Komusubi, Ozeki -v- Sekiwake and Yokozuna -v- sekiwake. But since since Sept 2007 the balance is tipped slightly towards Harumafuji, he obviously found a way: nages, 6 of his 7 victories have been throws. So every time you see those two going at it and Hakuho cant get his southpaw grip there is a decent chance that Harumafuji will throw him. Regular basis?? well the stats over two years point strongly to the fact the Harumafuji will beat him 50% of the time, thats a a regular basis against a Yokozunas in my books. 3.Aminishiki (who ups his ante against Yokozunas) upset him twice in 2008. Kotooshu, Kotomitsuki and Kisenosato are 3 who at current rates will beat him once a year Kotooshu had his already that leaves the other two to statistically come up with a win each against Hakuho. Harumafuji will beat him twice more, Kotomitsuki once, Kisenosato once, Aminishiki once, and Asashoryu once more. Thats 6 more losses in regulation, he will end up with 82-8. (so my crystal ball says) 14-1 12-3 13-2 once Rikishi work out a consistence defence to Hakuhos left had grip of death, like Harumafuji has done then there is a hope. Don't give Hakuho get that grip and you have an improved chance to beat him.

Yeees! Yusho! I am so happy for him right now and so very pleased he wiped the smirk of Hakuho's face! First Yusho to Harumafuji/Ama. (Sign of approval...) Excellent Smithers!

    Ozeki Back-Scratchers' Club

OBSC - you could never prove the existence of such a "club" I doubt they even say anything to each other about, I believe it to be an unwritten unspoken thing, if you are an middling ozeki not challenging for the yusho and struggling to hold your rank the others "help a brother out" so to speak. But then again what would I know.
  12. fall-out-rumored-between-yokozuna-asashoryu-and-wife shukan post (take it with a big grain of salt) is reporting Asashoryus wife has fallen out. Very vague and typical of the crap pumped out by the Post - but nonetheless I guess they are doing a quite a number on hussling their "nemesis" and getting people talking. I wish Asa and his family all the best in all aspects of their lives.

    What the...

FWIW 5 years ago in this thread whose Japanese is best? Amanogawa (a Japanese lady) and Mark Buckton ( know it all (Sign of approval...) ) both said Harumafuji's Japanese was decent and that was 5 years ago, .....can't imagine it has gotten worse. Interview your average gold medal winner at the Olympics in their native tongue and they are speechless. Cut the guy some slack FCS!....Thats all I have to say about that ..(Forrest Gump)

    Maegashira Game

just one small thing: the win/loss "bullets" colours are inverted to the usual standard in sumo. In this game a white bullet point/star is a loss which I find very confusing as in sumo a whitestar - shiroboshi, is a win! (Sign of approval...) any chance of restoring order to the universe?? as for the guess points -v- bonus points ratio: I think it will even itself out as more people play. By that I mean most bouts on the daily torikumi will have plenty of guesses placed for both rikishi in the bout and most correct picks will yield some bonus points. In this trial there seem to be a few bouts with plenty of picks wagered on them and they yield good bonuses while other bouts have only only one or two picks and a win can yield no bonus points, this will be rare in a 50 player field. Also the players at the moment i.e the Germans who played his game before seem very skilled at knowing which bout to pick; an uncanny sense of what the others are going to do and they put their picks on those bouts. If this game grows then lots of new players coming in will not be so clinical and analytical with their picks and the overall picks will be spread far and wide across the daily choices.

    Day 1 comments - Natsu 2009

you know, if that had come off, Kakuryu would have been haunted for a long time by it, just like when Asa did it all those years ago to Kotomitsuki...after dumping mickey in the middle of the ring like a schoolboy his confidence was shot for years against Asashoryu who has racked up an extremely one sided record against him. If his tsuriotoshi had failed that day we would have said it was stupid, I guess its only stupid it you can't pull it off...its genius if you do....Asashoryu of 5 years ago would have nailed that throw and Kakaryu would be a once bitten twice shy for a very long time..

"Osada Nagisa .... he..." he??? really? very feminine name that one. Golf smolf, if it relaxes them and helps them mentally then who cares? oh wait Sumo is extremely regimented and spartan. Must train harder
