I am surprised and thrilled to have been offered the title role in the latest installment of the Tomb Raiders franchise, "The Curse of the Bench Yokozuna". My agent assures me that while I may not have Angelina's figure, I am nevertheless furry and cuddly enough to bring in new fans. While it is well established that those in this role don't usually hang around all that long, I fully intend to buck that trend. So in answer to the rijicho's inquiry, I will be performing the unryu style of dohyo iri, that used by the greatest rikishi of all time, Asashoryu! Perhaps this style will help me repel the curse. My agent also informs me that my new role will include being gleefully squeezed to death by a Brazilian anaconda on the final day of filming, and will also feature dangerous other foes of varying nationalities. I heard tell also of a chase scene involving pygmy ape-like creatures with the countenance of Fujisan that was thankfully cut out of the script for being 'too unlikely to occur'. Gambarimasu! Jibun no sumou torimasu!

Rikishi whose marriage/relationship had (probably) a major impact on their performance

Shimanoumi... -
Looks like Quad has gone through but Oracle still has the Nagoya banzuke and standings.
-
Some very similar (and possibly identical - I haven't checked in detail) lineups in Salarycap. Whereas I suspect Rotosumo this time, unlike last time, will have quite the variance.
-
Quad and Oracle need their banzukes uploaded when you get a mo, @Asashosakari :)

I sent you a mail but it seems you can't receive them on this site. Please mail me at simon135711@proton.me I have a message for you!

Jesus, I thought you were dead or something, you muppet. Do NOT do that to me again!! Will send a PM.
-
That's hard to do. Well done, sir.

There has to be a final tie-breaker so why not base it on rank? In Ozumo, rank is everything, so it actually makes sense. The alternative is a coin toss or who entered earliest...and those two really are bullshit rules. Gaining high rank is something that requires skill so it has some meaning in the long view. The best way to overcome the dreaded Doitsuyama Rule is to attain a high rank asap!

I see you are superb at Toto too.

Yes very sorry. Age isn't helping my eyesight. Nonetheless, I am a big fan of Oortael going forward. :)
-
Ah... apologies. I see you are already a member of the Sakura ichimon. They are lucky to have you!
-
100% this!! Oortael...I love the cut of your jib! Would you like to join Mukade Beya?? I don't know if you are already affiliated in Bench...but the Centipedes are always looking for right-thinking men like yourself. Please let me know so I can inform Takanorappa.

You are taking things far too seriously! Most of the gamers here have been playing against each other for decades. We all respect each other and all know that anyone is capable of winning the Masters or the World Championship. I support anyone who is doing well and I want them to succeed. There is no ill will between players that I know of. So please stop worrying about people trying to cheat...we just don't do that here in any way whatsoever.

Ozumo is Ozumo. It doesn't follow any bullshit modern rules. It is not interested in 'liberal' bullshit. It has no interest in Western 'values'. You earn your rank..and that's the end of it. Everything else is just talk.

This is an incredible record. I was really hoping you would make it to day 15 again. Amazing! Congrats!

Unpopular take: The Doitsuyama Rule is the best rule in bench Sumo!
-
Not sure if Rando updates his stats to this degree. He may well do. I have won every game at least once. Qualifier: ISP (a lottery) was a co-yusho the one time I 'won' it back in the days before the tie-breaker. I imagine most of the veteran gamers have done the same.

Kirishima in Oracle...

It's a bit weird being in a Roto team!
-
We have a decent chance for Roto glory now, @Athenayama we just need Tamashoho not to collapse, especially in relation to Kitanowaka and Tomokaze. But he has Ochiai tomorrow....
-
I see you have good taste in rikishi, sir! ;) There are no tie-breakers in Roto so it would be a co-yusho. 13.5 Masters points each. Go Tamashoho!!

Looks like some went for Gonoyama and he won but he should not have been pickable. Interesting and unique situation.
