Nikibi, huh? Nice. -
Many thanks for the videos!

I just figured it was the return of the lizard people.

Of course I watch the replays. The slo-mo is interesting, and the commentary provides more insight as well. Thanks to you and Kinta and all who take the time to post the videos.

It seemed to me that Goeido was looking for a Harumafuji non-henka in the playoff, and was caught off guard when it didn't happen. Congrats to Harumafuji for hanging in there after the early losses.

How in the world do they call a monoii on that when they didn't on some of the other matches that were much closer?
-
Thank you so much for all your efforts in providing the videos. Much appreciated. It's so amazing to watch Hakuho go to work. He has such good balance, technique, and power and understands the angles and openings the instant they present themselves.

Thank you for all your hard work in creating the videos. Great job, I really appreciate it.

Thank you for all your time and effort to compile the daily videos. I really appreciate it.

Glad you were able to roll back. Thanks for the videos.

Definitely nice to have the higher bit rate.

I loved watching Mainoumi doing his magic. Such a quick, tenacious guy. And very entertaining. I keep hoping Takanoyama will try some of the quick attacks that Mainoumi used to do, but maybe quickness just isn't his forte. Here are a couple of my favorite links of Mainoumi. vs Musoyama in 1994 vs Musoyama in 1993 I can't find it on youtube, but there was another one I remember where Mainoumi grabbed his opponent by the mawashi and spun the both of them around in about 3 full circles before gaining the advantage.

Ah, yes, you're absolutely right. It's been a long time.

I understand I have to post at least once before I become a full-fledged member. I actually joined the forum a number of years ago, but my account seems to have been deleted (from disuse, not misuse). I've been a member of the mailing list since the mid-90s. I picked up a lot of good info from Abe-san, watched flame wars with Kawika play out, read Kintamayama's hilarious summaries of the matches, etc. In fact, Abe-san helped me come up with my moniker, 双輪山, which is supposed to mean two wheels on the mountain, or mountain biker. (If you have any good pictures of rikishi on bikes, please send them my way. I've searched the net from time to time, but there's not much there.) Without actually seeing the matches, it's hard to make any intelligent comments (or unintelligent, for that matter). So it's nice to have the goo sumo feed these days, as well as youtube highlights. Thanks to all who make those happen.
