Notable record(s) put up by the Kokonoe duo of Chiyonokuni and Chiyoshoma. - Both have got the same number of points (274). Not so unusual? Sure, but certainly for two rikishi who both have got more than 4 points on average. Both get 4.28 points per participant. - Chiyonokuni is the first one ever to appear in every line-up.

Hello gamers, the UDH entry form is ready now and waiting for your selections. Rules in a (very small) nutshell: Guess the thirteen makuuchi rikishi you expect to have the fewest wins this basho. You may submit your entry at http://udh.seisa.de/udh_index.html. Once you have selected your team, please root for them as much as you can. The game was not intended to honor any failure, but to stimulate interest in the less successful rikishi. The deadline for your entries will be the first day of the basho (Sunday, March 12th) at 12pm Japanese Time. Good luck! Link to the latest available standings >>> http://udh.seisa.de/udh_stand.html

Another question in that context: During the dormant months the "Kasugayama entitiy" changed its ichimon affiliation -- so which ichimon will Nakagawa-beya belong to now? a) Isegahama-ichimon, because Nakagawa was "independent enough" within Oitekaze during caretake spell already b) Tokitsukaze-ichimon, because Oitekaze-shisho's decision includes everyone in his heya -

Well... actually I meant it to be tounge in cheek. That's why I have added that little smiley. Taking a closer look, it obviously wasn't. In both cases some people took every word and every (non-)action waaaaay to serious. And all that would not have been necessary: I like that rule very much and will indeed be adding it to the UDH rulebook. So no need to negotiate any more (SMILEY. JOKE. MEANT TO BE FUNNY.)

I must admit that I didn't even notice that Hoshitori changed this rule. UDH has always been pretty close to the Hoshitori rules and ranks (the "seki-zeki" rank is the only major difference, and that's just laziness -- otherwise I would not notice just recently demoted ozeki), and so I might change that, too. But first I'll have to take a look at the revised rule. And I won't mention Takanohana's seven basho rest here. No. I. Won't. No!! NO!!
