Hello gamers, the UDH entry form is ready now, and waiting for your selections. Rules in a (very small) nutshell: Guess the thirteen makuuchi rikishi you expect to have the fewest wins this basho. You may submit your entry at http://udh.seisa.de/udh_index.html. Once you have selected your team, please root for them as much as you can. The game was not intended to honor any failure, but to stimulate interest in the less successful rikishi. The deadline for your entries will be the first day of the basho (Sunday, September 10th) at 12pm Japanese Time. Good luck! Final Standings Lots of major promotions after this basho (records of May/July/September): - Kitakachiyama to 18th Yokozuna after 13-2/12-3/14-1 = 39 wins and also at least one jun-yusho ever (3 career yusho + 3 career jun-yusho), Ozeki since 2018, hd 2005 - Andoreasu to 19th Yokozona after 14-1/13-2/12-3 = 39 wins (plus 2 career yusho, 6 career jun-yuso), Ozeki since 2022 and 2003-2016 with a short interruption, hd 2002 - Golynohana to Ozeki after 11-4/11-4/12-3 = 34 wins at K/S/S - Susanoo to Ozeki after 14-1/14-1/8-7 = 36 wins at K/S/S Incumbent yokozuna Gonzaburow did score a make-koshi this time but after a 54-6 over the last four basho this is not acutely rank endangering.

Latest stock exchange news - kabu, Oyakata transfers, etc.
Tamanaogijima replied to Kintamayama's topic in Ozumo Discussions
I now wonder if the other might be the Sanoyama transfer to Chiyonokuni. 10.2022 is six years after Chiyonofuji's death and thus exceeding the presumed extended sell-off period of five years, but even after discounting all the wild guesses it still seems there has been no viable candidate (within Kokonoe-beya) for the Sanoyama succession for a long time. -

@Asashosakari Had fun trying to figure that out I'll go with your suggestion to set the start of Chiyonokuni's ownership to the day after Tosayutaka's tenure (April 20, 2018). For the time in between I'll set the owner not to Chiyootori, though, but to Chiyonofuji. Formally I would expect as a first step an ownership switch Sanoyama<->Kokonoe between Chiyotaikai and the Chiyonofuji estate after the latters pass-away (to keep the heya alive) and only as a second step an inheritance of Sanoyama some time later to whomever is in line at that time. Going through the old oyakata and duties lists, Chiyootori was never listed as owner of Sanoyama. -
