    Yokozuna Promotion Speculation

Wakatakakage has 33 wins in his last 3 bashos as Maegashira. Interesting.

    Kyushu 2024 discussion (results)

Hosh doesn't have enough power and body type to claim he is 100% Yokozuna material. Onosato however has a good style, power and body type to contend every basho.

    Rikishis with the highest potential?

I don't watch lower divisions of pro sumo at all, so my knowledge is limited with only Makuuchi wrestlers. May be someone has better list.

I think Onosato will come strong again nexy basho. I think Onosato is destined to become Yokozuna.

Thanks. So Hoshoryu can become a Yokozuna if he wins January tournament with at least 13 wins?

Is Kotozakura only tsunatori for January tournament? Or Hosh also granted tsunatori 'rank'?

Did Hoshoryu get 'tsunatori' rank just like Kotozakura? Or Kotozakura is only 'tsunatori?

Disagree. Hoshoryu won't let this slip away & beat Hokutofuji this time with a beautiful throw

I am sure Hokutofuji wants Hakuoho to win. He has higher chance against a rookie Hakuoho than ultra motivated Ozeki contender Hoshoryu.

They really believe Hoshoryu is the next big thing & future Yokozuna. Hakuoho will join the same bout if he continues to perform this well.

What do you think guys? Will Hokutofuji beat Nishikigi & beat Hoshoryu/Hakuoho winner in Playoffs or winner of the tournement will come out of Hoshoryu vs Hakuoho match?

Preparations of the masses- Nagoya 2023

That's not an ice bath but just a pool for kids. My relatives have one like this. It's small & not so deep. Just slightly above knee level. Hoshoryu just having fun there.

What's the chance Ochiai will be promoted to Makuuchi after 14-1 result? Assuming Gonoyama is guaranteed & Shonannoumi is probably 2'd after him.

Sorry. In what case Ochiai will be promoted to Makuuchi division? He needs to win Juryo Yusho, to be runner-up or wait till the next Juryo tournement get 10 wins there? I don't know much about promotions at all.
