Oh, thank you very much for the information I really appreciate that. I am learning Nihongo in my college and finally they presented about sumo (Wanpaku, Interhigh, etc). I know some teams in the corporation / business (etc.) from the mawashi like Japan Airlines, Nippon Express, Aisin, etc. But I don't know that one with 'M'sign. I also have some conversation with Suguro Ibuki-san, and feel so interesting especialy about his very long struggle.

Hello! Everyone.. Do you know about 松本司和 (Matsumoto Tsukasa?) ? I visited Japan with my father in 2002. I saw some of the sumo wrestlers at that time and took pictures with them, unfortunately the photos are gone. After I watched some sumo matches on the internet, I saw this person and started searching for his name. And when I saw the kanji his name was Matsumoto / 松本 (I studied Japanese at college, forgive me if I wrong) . I think that I saw this guy back then, when my dad and I were visiting Japan and taking pictures with some sumo wrestlers. Do you have any biographies, Profiles or websites that I can visit featuring this wrestler? Ohh, I see.. I think it looks same with the text written in this Mawashi that Shiroyama worn when he fought Masakatsu Kamatani from Saitama Sakae. And then the next he worn are Toyo daigaku. Am I right ? Is the white and dark blue are Toyo Daigaku Mawashi, but with different designs ? And what Matsumoto-san do since he became the current chairman of the Kanazawa City Sumo Federation ? Sorry for asked so many questions, I am interested to learn more about sumo. I hope I can visit Japan again someday when the Pandemic is over.

I see, thanks for the informations. I think he's not turned pro, maybe he just teaches amateur sumo at several universities, like Takushoku. :) my dad was surprised when I showed him some of Matsumoto's pics. I don't know that dad still remembered too.

He's old now, but in some articles said that he's still active in 40 years old. :) I asked dad and he said it was true, the sumo wrestler who was pictured with me at that time was Matsumoto from Ishikawa prefecture. The 2 now in their 2nd year (both 16). Goeido came for a visit to his old school and met them in the sumo club. A few more pictures from Goeido's visit. 2,800 students packed into the main hall for a pep rally for the new Ozeki. Is that Masakatsu Kamatani in front of Geido ? :) :-)
