The great Bert Trautmann played for Manchester City, not for United. Outside of Manchester this distinction may seem irrelevant, but there I guess it is a matter of grave importance.

Does the Japan Sumo Association recognizes any official kind of record concerning active bout streaks? Or is this kind of statistic not considered important enough?

Kisenosato never missed a bout between 2002 and 2013. Then came Hatsu 2014, where he pulled out after day 14. I see two possibilities, how this could be interpreted: a) Kisenosato didn't show up to the bout, so his consecutive bout streak had finally come to an end. b) While it is true, that he didn't fight on day 15, his meeting with Kotoshogiku had an official result (obviously fusen). So technically the streak continued. Therefore Sumo Reference only lists 678 wins and 417 losses for Kisenosato, but not a single missed bout. Which interpretation is right, which is wrong?
