Almost as good as Takerufuji

Exactly that. There are huge benefits with taking steroids when it comes to combat sports, hence so many fighters etc. are on PEDs. Not only can you increase muscle mass by taking various steroids like of course testosterone as a base, Deca/NPP, Equipoise, Primo/Masteron, Ment, Anavar and Trenbolone. There are also steroids specifically used for strength gains like again Tren, Superdrol, Anadrol, Turinabol, Dbol, Stanozolol, Halotestin and the other compounds mentioned above of course also provide strength gains as your muscle mass increases. Also, things like TB500 (good for inflammation reduction and overall speed of recovery) and BPC-157 (useful for healing tendon injuries) are rather useful for speeding up recovery. Moreover, IUs of HGH and Insulin also can help increase recovery rate. All in all, almost all steroids help in increasing mass, strength and recovery, some more than others, some more focused on one aspect, so steroid use is certainly a huge advantage for sumo wrestlers. Of course, you just have to be smart about it. Running 10g of gear a week won't magically make a Chiyonofuji out of a Tohakuryu ;)

You had me at the edge of my seat with your suspenseful write-up @Asashosakari, glad I could channel my inner Takerufuji and win the yusho on the final day against all (some) odds If I'm not mistaken this is the 4th year in a row I have won a yusho since I started participating , so I guess I've fulfilled my duty for 2024 already ;)

Hokuseiho Out- Hakuho Demoted - Miyagino-beya Closing
Hakuryuho replied to Kaninoyama's topic in Ozumo Discussions
That would be a great sitcom or Big Brother style show - Takanohana and Hakuho sharing a house, Harumafuji and Asashoryu joining them in season 2 and a family reunion of all the yaocho boys as a special Christmas episode- 622 replies

Promotion/Demotion and Yūshō Discussion Hatsu 2024
Hakuryuho replied to Reonito's topic in Honbasho Talk
So happy for Kitaharima, last time he was in Juryo was in Aki 2020 and has been relentlessly fighting to regain sekitori status. Gonna be at least 27 basho as a sekitori for him now, so very close to being kabu-eligible. -
I can't see the kyokai not promoting Kotonowaka even with "only" a 32 in 3 after at least a second jun-yusho in a row and convincingly beating a good Ozeki who is/was tantalizingly close to a Yokozuna promotion. His last scores also look good and not like a fluke.

Poor Onosato, getting pushed out of the ring yesterday, thrown out like a rubbish bag today... At least he can learn from these humbling experiences and take the next step, but I for one am glad the upper san'yaku boys are performing the way they are :)

You think so? He strikes me as a guy just fighting for the paycheck and nothing more, so I'd figure he retires once he drops to makushita for the first time
