    Jūryō for Aki 2023

Takahashi's rise has been unexpectedly dominant, and he has made quick work of almost everyone so far. Ishizaki and Mukainakano have had their growing pains (and Onosato while great wasn't as dominant as some might have expected.)

Heard Hokutofuji is getting pressure training from Takayasu. It's over already.

Calling it, Hakuoho henka. Will make Seiyashi cry

Asanoyama pulls out a kachi-koshi with one arm. Wakamotoharu's gonna have to wait even longer for an Ozeki run.

Took me a second to see Hakuoho very well done.

A third sekiwake spot for Kotonowaka no? Sucks for Nishikigi unless they give him one too (aka GTB gonna be hilarious lmao)
  9. Kadoban Ozeki double now. Hoshoryu probs gets it even with a loss (or Daieisho swoops in if that's still an option)

that's probs what they are gonna do, and as a fan of both, ugh.

A henka attempt during the second to last match in an Ozeki run is nuts lmao

Clearly he's still a good rikishi, better then before. Just not as good as the hot streak he started the Basho with.

10 bout streak for Ryuden, though that last one is about as close as it gets.

Help us Hoshoryu, you are our only hope.

Was thinking about this earlier day, and after watching several other vids with him in them, it's nearly impossible not to root for him, just a lot of respect for the sport it seems

Hoshoryu is another in the win out camp, though a bit more confident only 32 will make it. Consistent Kachi-Koshi for like a year and a half now.

Fair, but circumstances were diff. Kirishima was on a way better run and Daieisho started at Maegashira

Daieisho needs to win out. I guess slim odds they let him up with just 10 wins.

Personally think it's the injury concern. Dude knows his legs are both a blessing and a curse, so is trying to minimize any potential damage (though personally I think they will go hurt either way.)

Nishikigi with ease. Has the be the fave for Yusho at this point, beat all the hard Rikishi already.

Fast rise for Takahashi. Been one year since his debut and he could be Juryo next tournament around. No MK's either

That puts Wakamotoharu's chances in a bad spot. Still has to go through his Sekiwake rivals and the Ozeki, even with his state not up to usual par.

Ozeki level sumo back to back there. Let's see if Wakamotoharu can make it a triple

There was a glimmer from Mitakeumi, even without the strength still. Then a fizzle out after the turnaround. If you asked people a year ago "Who would have a bigger fall off, Mitakeumi or Shodai" I doubt many would've said Mita.
