Olympics 90kg men final: referees' decision?

I was watching the Judo men's 90 kg final at the Olympics (Sanshiro vs Bekauri). The referees awarded the win to Bekauri in a decision that I found controversial. Did somebody watched it and found it weird? Especially for a final, it was so underwhelming.

Olympics 90kg men final: referees' decision?

It was indeed a great match. I was waiting for the replay to finish; the tension was so intense; and then ... match over

My wife, a trained chef, is always impressed with their kitchens. They really know their ways around cooking professionally.

    Retirements after Natsu 2024

Good, that sounds more thoughtful than to start another combat sport with perhaps too much body weight.

Where to find out why a rikishi has retired?

I often wonder why sandanme and makushita rikishis retire. E.g., if they decided to quite because of lack of progress, injury, etc. Is there a source where I can find out? I can't read Japanese.
  16. I find it very possible. I come from a non-drinking culture and I have lived in a drinking one; the peer pressure alone is strong. Refusing too many beers/shots will be slightly mocked. No big deal, but I can imagine someone to abuse its position. Not saying Onosato did that, but it's a bit naive to assume some people are not (psychologically) bullied into it.

Would that classify as a Henka? I think so and I am very impressed.

what happened in 1932? P.S. I started looking at that rikishi opponents, which included Futabayama. I went to read Futabayama wiki page and stumble upon this: What does that mean? Was the dohyo smaller before? The source [1] is Dynamic Sumo by Clyde Newton, but I do not have access to it.

    Haru jungyo 2024

From Nishikigi's score, I thought he would also have been injured, but I guess he is not, since he's taking part in the jungyo? Why did he do so poorly last basho? Is it normal to get this kind of scores for "new" san'yaku?
