I was wondering why Wakamotuharu vanished from my followers on Instagram. His account is deleted too.

If he speaks, he speaks English quite well. Arawashi speaks excellent English, he lived in Indis for a while. Chiyoshoma is learning English. When Terunofuji started with sumo his English was quite ok. But in the meantime he forgot nearly everything.

Tenkaiho borrowed from Kotoshogiku. Could be difficult for him to buy one as he doesn't have enough supporters to help him finance it.

I'm a bit sad to see him go. Officially it's talk about an injury but I guess he didn't want to go on with sumo. It was not his own desire to become a sumo wrestler. His father took him to a tournament in Mongolia and he won without any practising. So he tried in Japan. Too bad he couldn't reach Juryo fast, then he would have stayed I guess. He has a wife and two kids (3 and 1 year old) in Mongolia and missed them much, no chance to live with them in Japan as long he isn't sekitori.

Here are some first pics of day 7. Hatsu Basho Day 7, mostly Juryo In the evening Kotoshogiku invited me for dinner. In former times girls threw their bras on the stage for their stars. But times change ... Kotoshogiku was sitting in his underwear during dinner in the little restaurant. At the end he got up, undressed (in the restaurant), put on his kimono and started to write on his underwear. Then he made a little package and gave his underwear to me as a present .

I know Takanoiwa from his beginnings and watched him closely all the time, almost 10 years. I got to know him as a nice, polite and humble guy with a great sense of humor. He never showed any disrespect to me, my friends or other people around, neither as a lower division guy nor as a sekitori. But i realized that something changed in the last two years. You couldn’t rely on him any more and when there always was a bright smile on his face, he now looked grumpy. I had the impression that all started with his friend Terunofuji becoming Ozeki. Maybe he got jealous and unsatisfied with his own career. I was shocked about his behavior in the Harumafuji case and I’m even more shocked now with poor Takataisho No excuse for Takanoiwa but I’m sad to see a talented rikishi retire in such a way.

We saw him in May while visiting training of Azumaseki Beya.
