Good start for the mongolians in makuuchi. Less good in Juryo.

... Just a fan. But it would be fun to try a little sumo some time.
-
I dont think there is a gallery like that, but it would be great if there was!

I doubt that musashi will beat up Akebono more than Sapp did. He'll probably have no trouble winning, but Akebono is probably stronger. He might pull a "sapp" and try to knock his opponent out in the first round. If that doesnt succeeds he does some sort of rule violation in the 2nd to make the match end (Weeping...)

Couldnt they have given taikai and aminishiki separate nicknames? ;-)

I voted 14-1. He's looking very strong right now and if he goes uninjured (as the poll suggested) he should take the yusho with a good number of wins. Two zensho in a row seems a bit too optimistic tho. One "slip up" seems probable.

I totally agree with kotoseiya. When there's a set fine and if you're rich you can just ignore the speed limit and pay the fine. When its income related it doesnt matter wether you're rich or poor. The impact of the fine should be the same. A perfect example is that rally they do... Cannonball-something I think. Rich ppl driving through several countries at high speed. Illegaly. If the police gets them they pay the fine and keep on racing, since they got so much money it doesnt matter.

Same here.

I also voted other. QttP and fukunoyama said what most of us are probably thinking. Just be nice to people and show respect. It's that simple. This is not a very good place to argue.

I have my birthday in September, 3 days before Asashoryu's. Born 2 years after however.
-
I became addicted after watching aki 2002 on eurosport, so kyushu 2002 was the first basho I followed online. So 1 year.
-
Asasashoryu is too risky so you're thinking Miyabiyama??? Isn't he always pretty risky since he can fall over at any time without anyone hardly touching him? Sure, he can beat almost anyone. But he can also lose to anyone. Sorry 'bout the off topic btw.
-
Tosanoumi shouldnt be any problem and he's shown in the past that he can beat all three of the remaining ozeki, so I there definatly is a chance he might get the zensho. However it seems pretty probably he wont get it, since he has 4 chances to lose concentration and slip up. Also if KaioU continues to show the strenght he's been showing lately he will be a difficult opponent. Anyway, I voted for "yes maybe".

He doesn't want to know who he's gonna fight because he claims it to keep him awake all night thinking about strategies. Not having a particalar strategy seems better than not getting any sleep. I can do nothing but agree. He really is a... "special" guy B-)

Yeah, they've started adding shadows ;-)

Does geocities allow linking pictures to other pages? I know most free web spaces dont.

I've never really liked basketball that much. It was pretty fun when we played it in gym class in school, since I'm about 195cm tall and I don't think we had anyone else over 185 in my class =)

Ok then, here's my personal info. Heya: Rackadang Home Prefecture: V

Knives sharpened and good to go :-P I'm feeling a little bit insecure about my team tho. Had a pretty hard time picking my maegashira. Maybe the fact that I refuse to use Miyabiyama has something to do with it. :-P

Yep. That's the way things work. You dont have to be good. You just have to be famous. I mean, putting up a guy who has trained k1/boxing/kick boxing for 2 months in such an event. ;-)
-
What a coincidence. I just got home from seeing the movie just a few minutes ago, and yes, I liked it as well. I didn't really like the first one that much, the second one I liked, and the 3rd one even better than the second. I'd recommend it to anyone who hasnt seen it yet!

Because this is the kinda thing that's gonna make non-sumo fans think that sumo wrestlers are only fat, soft and weak.
-
I find most games pretty demanding. I probably wont play any daily games except sekitoto and benchsumo this basho. Will the deadlines be put up on the forum front page this time as well?

I wonder if the results would have been different 2 bashos ago. (Whistling...) EDIT: Corrected my poor grammar :-)
