Has the shiranui curse struck again?

Am I the only one who noticed that since Hakuho's heya announced that he would be a Shiranui-style yokozuna, nothing has gone his way?

First he loses to Asasekiryu on shonichi of the Nagoya basho, then gets snubbed for promotion for no good reason, then crumbles to an un-Hakuho-like 8-7,

then gets a serious injury and will now be kadoban for the Hatsu basho.

It can only be the curse!

I voted Yes, he will stall at ozeki, because there was no option for No, he will stall at ozeki. It has nothing to do with mambo jumbo, voodoo etc. Hakuho has no yokozuna spirit. Yet.

Even if he does stall at Ozeki it wont be because of any silly curse,this is the year 2006 not 0006.

he'll be Yokozuna one day and he'll perform the shiranui style dohyo-iri during his entire career.

i predict 12 yusho for him (9 as yokozuna).

or maybe 46 if he fights untill his 57th birhtday .... :-P

On the Kobo bit though - he does a very nice line in T-shirts (all his fans wear them to Miyagino) with his name on - only ever seen one tegata of his though - sat alongside an Ushiomaru (that was going for 10,000 yen!!!) Both were dusty.
