Kintamayama 45,012 Posted April 27, 2007 (edited) Asashouryuu didn't show up for the "Preservation and Exchange of Views Assembly" (an organization that supports the Kyokai, but does anyone know better??) held yesterday at the Kkan training institute. Whatever it is, a full sanyaku presence is obligatory. Asa didn't show up, and in the middle of the meeting a note arrived saying he was "in poor physical condition" and could not participate. His Oyakata said he told him that "poor physical condition" notwithstanding, he should make an effort and show up. In the morning, he showed up at the heya's asa-geiko and was seen "lending his chest" to the young deshi. He also had a visitor, singer Nagabuchi Tsuyoshi. Come to think about it, maybe the emoticon makers in the group could come up with a mawashi-clad rikishi with a microphone singing karaoke? OK, back on topic ... (Punk rocker...) Wow-you are clairvoyant. At his party last night, he sang Tombo together with Mr. Nagabuchi. It was a party honoring his 20 yushos , attended by 2000 celebrities, politicians, and Sumo kankeisha. "After all that has been written about me, this party has definitely lifted my spirits", he said. Now we know why he didn't show up at the convention..
