I'm pondering for good excuses for not starting to exercise regularly. I'm not doing too well in that regard. I'm also gathering various things to be prepared for the new forum script, designing the new graphical outlook of this site and learning a bit more about CSS (cascading style sheets). Then there are the updates for the sumo glossary... and I've been thinking a long time about photoshopping few sumo backgroung images... and those CDs I owe people all over the world. And that Tall Ships' Race coming to Turku in few days...

Oh, and that thesis... (Holiday feeling...)

And I have a new computer case! (Licking lips...) Just assembled it last night and installed a new Athlon XP 3000+. (Clapping wildly...)

For me, the basho really never stops...

First thing after the basho, I do the results page for Sekitori-Oracle, and the Medals page for Sekitori-Toto (both done).

http://www.sekitori-oracle.com/results.html

http://www.sekitori-toto.com/medals.html

Then it would have been time to score the SB and LL Masters, but since these are retired for the moment (until I can find a better, quicker, more automated, method of scoring and posting them), that's off for now.

Then, its time to do the banzuke. Used to do 5 of them, but Chaingang's ranking is now handled by Andoreasu and Feginowaka has kindly assumed ISP Banzuke duties. So that leaves Sekitori-Toto and Sekitori-Oracle. And also GISP, but since that wasn't played this time, I'm off the hook there.

Then, it's time to look at my GTB and Yoban entries, of course (Clapping wildly...)

And usually just before the Banzuke comes out, most of the game banzuke are also available for me to start compiling the SUPER BANZUKE, which is usually done a couple days after the real banzuke.

Once the real banzuke is out, it's time to make up the new Sekitori-Oracle entry page, and to begin my SPAM attack on the various sumo mailing list, web sites and forums, inviting people to come and play.

Then, its time to make my own Sekitori-Oracle picks (yes, I make them FIRST and then make all my other pre-basho game picks off that list)... and enter all the games.

Then, it's time to start looking at the first day torikumi and make my daily picks.

Then, it's time to begin watching the bash... oh. Jeez... another basho started... where did the time go? (Holiday feeling...)

Cheers

Nice case Kotoseiya-zeki (Holiday feeling...) I'm thinking of getting a new machine as well. There are some really cool cases out there. Thank god we've finally advanced past the boring beige cube phase.

Two sumo-related things I do between bashos are research interesting sumo statistics and watch old videos on banzuke.com.

(Gone fishing...)

Well, things I do for recreation and relaxing other than watching sumo, discussing sumo and thinking about sumo (I'd add practicing sumo to this list, but unfortunately I really don't get a chance to do it seriously and regularly) are playing with my computer, reading books, and sometimes just hanging out with friends. You know, simple things. Very occasionaly I travel somewhere with family. Boring, I guess...

Ahhh what do I do to relax eh? Well this town never does sleep so I tend not to sleep much either. I hang out with friends, go to my friends night club alot on Biscayne Bay here in Miami. Go to the beach alot abd play some games on my computer/playstation 2/ x box. Dont really watch many movies to relax since my job has me watching so many but i am a avid dvd collector with a colection of about 500 dvds right now.

Here's what my NEW box looks like... (Licking lips...) not half as sleek as Juhani's, but it nevertheless, the silverish-grey box makes me VERY happy (Holiday feeling...) And the ON button glows blue, when ON... which I find relatively cool (Punk rocker...)

Cheers

I've been thinking a case in screaming yellow would be nice... Or vomit green...

Reading Dejimasama-zeki's post made me feel like moving to Miami (Applauding...)

HP Pavilion a2X0e/y series? Very pretty. As for sleekness, isn't it all in the viewer's eye? (In a state of confusion...)

Yes, it's a Pavilion AMD Athlon XP 2600+... it sure is a lot prettier than my old (I now call it "Classic") one, a Gateway G350. Got one hell of a deal on it at BestBuy (Pulling hair...)
