Sumo Reference Updates

Something else I've been meaning to bring up: IMHO the rikishi who went through the shindeshi kensa in March 2021 should not be listed as Maezumo, since that didn't actually take place. The incoming classes for 2022 and 2023 were recorded as Bg, and 2021 ought to be treated the same for consistency.

I might be jumping to conclusions, but I'm getting an "error 503" screen that looks different from the normal "database is down" screen. It's just plain black text on a white background. (unfortunately I am having trouble uploading a screenshot of it.) Is it gone for good?

Agreed, the server is down at the moment.

I think we need some indicator on the forum main page that shows if the site is up or not. The down time has now returned to be the usual one and not that the server is down.

At the moment it's up - make your GTB entries while you can!

Tokushoryu (active profilekabu profile) needs a few adjustments - the intai and his becoming oyakata was officially on September 12, not 11 (oshirase), and his Aki basho record was 0-0-1 with yasumi for two days, not 0-0-7.

Edit: Oh, I've partly duplicated a previous report here.

Tokushoryu's final basho record should be 0-0-1 to tally with his Kyokai profile career record of 553-570-1, intai announced on Day 3 of that basho.

The kabu status change tag "HCt" looks like it lacks a description (spotted on Daitetsu's entry).

Because it never meant to be a thing :-) Correct is HCr. The whole Nishonoseki/Hanaregoma shuffle (that is the only point where HCt happened) had melted my brain a bit...

The newest rikishi on the Ozeki list still has "Kotonowaka" as the shikona.  I thought maybe it would update with the end of the current basho, but it hasn't.

11th yokozuna Shiranui's personal name is given as "Kotsuemon" in both the English and Japanese version of the page.

It appears that two other rikishi using the same shikona of "Shiranui" have the same spelling issues from the quoted post, even with different given names.

https://sumodb.sumogames.de/Rikishi.aspx?r=2944&l=j

One is Mitsuemon and the other Kotsuemon when both, to my understanding, should be Koemon.

Kyushu 2023 0-win/0-loss rikishi are requesting the usual fix to their data.

I hate to insist, but this is still an issue, as are the subsequent three tournaments now.

Not urgent, but according to this JP Wikipedia page, Kotohoshiba passed away while active. (1st of March, 1992)

Which I presume is the reason why his official scoreboard for Haru '92 is 0-0 instead of 0-0-7.

Nakamurayama should be listed as a member of Mihogaseki-beya for his maezumo in 1985.11, Kitanoumi-beya only came into existence in December.

Should Kuniazuma's english page show when he changed his shikona kanji? Or somehow is this just an error in the japanese page?

No, shikona kanji changes are only shown on the japanese page. The english page only shows changes in readings.
