Gusoyama Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 (edited) Not sure if Eurasians is the proper term, but for lack of a better one, I'll use it to describe Roho, Hakurozan, Kokkai, and Wakanoho. I'm personally putting the over/under at 11 for the total number of wins by hatakikomi or hikiotoshi by these 4. Do you think there will be more or less than this? edit: Shoot, the poll question only mentions Hatakikomi, not Hikiotoshi. It should reflect both. Edited November 5, 2007 by Gusoyama
Asashosakari Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I'll go for the under. By way of decision-making aid, if anyone's interested: hatakikomi, hikiotoshi
Washuyama Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Is that for the entire basho or just the first couple days?? ;)
Kintamayama Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 And I will defy statistics (My favorite pastime..) and say waaay over, over the rainbow.
Asojima Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I am going with under 11 wins. Some of their henkas got pretty sloppy last basho, so I think there will be way over 11 attempts, but less than 11 successes.

Some of their henkas got pretty sloppy last basho, so I think there will be way over 11 attempts, but less than 11 successes. Ahh, a technicality (Laughing...) Let's have another side bet. If someone goes for a henka and fails, that still goes in my black book.
Gusoyama Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 That's right, just wins. I really have to get moving on my sumo-bet game site. I love wacky bets like this, or "How many mattas by Kisenosato this basho"
kaiguma Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 out of curiosity, are you counting the distracted cousins of these 2 kimarite? sokubiotoshi and the like?
Fay Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I say under cause they will not be successful at all with their trials. And 6 matta for Kisenosato.
Asashosakari Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Looks like the over/under was set well...through ten days our downslapping quartet stands at 8.
Gusoyama Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 For the record, the vote was 14-7 on day 1 for the over. on day 10, there was an additional over vote.
