Mark Buckton 1 Posted March 9, 2008 Obviously creatine isn't any form of doping. It's a supplement. I ate few packets myself - it isn't any secret weapon or something Enough said. Not just yourself Shimpu, but I do wonder how many of those voting yes, have actually ingested creatine as part of their own attempts to be bigger, stronger, faster etc. How much their vote would be influenced by not wanting to be 'labeled' with the D word? Kind of like asking fishermen in Taji (sp?) if whaling should be banned? (Welcome...) - and expecting them to vote 'yes' :-)

Not just yourself Shimpu, but I do wonder how many of those voting yes, have actually ingested creatine as part of their own attempts to be bigger, stronger, faster etc. How much their vote would be influenced by not wanting to be 'labeled' with the D word? How many of those voting 'yes' were influenced by their 'gut instinct'? How many of those voting 'yes' were influenced by 'reasoned argument'? How many of those voting 'yes' were influenced by 'pink elephants'? Sadly none of the above questions can be answered with the data that we currently have to hand. How many of those voting think that creatine is doping? This one can be answered. At this moment in time, two-thirds (okay not quite, 64% to be exact) of those who have taken part in the poll believe that creatine is not doping. The simple fact is, that in this case, amongst this tiny pool, your opinion is (currently) in the minority. This may change. The way I read your question is that you are implying that people who use creatine, consider it to be doping, but vote 'no' in this anonymous poll to ease their consciences. Another possibility (which seems more straight-forward, and therefore more likely in my opinion), is that if they used creatine, it was because they consider it not to be doping, and therefore voted accordingly in this anonymous poll, without need to ease their conscience. kaiguma 0 Posted March 10, 2008 I voted no. Based on all of the evidence I've read so far, so my opinion could change. Though from here it seems mighty unlikely. I have never seen, smelled, tasted, or touched creatine powder, nor have I heard a packet being opened. I've never known anyone that has ingested creatine, at least not that I know of (Laughing...) I suspect at least half of those voting 'no' are closer to my profile than the bloody grotesque Rorschach psycho-evaluation Mark has given to the 16 of us currently opposed to his 'reasoned argument.'
