madorosumaru 7 Posted March 21, 2008 Daiyubu made his ozumo debut in Haru 2001, along with a skinny fellow named Hakuho. "I wanted to win the yusho and then get promoted," he said. "I am very happy." His most outstanding feature is his strong lower body, which enables him to withstand attacks at dohyo side. The 24-year-old rikishi said, "When I won my sixth, I called home to Mongolia. My mother was crying [out of happiness]."

aderechelsea 124 Posted March 27, 2008 his interview on NHK as the Makushita Champion for Haru 2008. not very verbal i should add and his accent (especially the "R") is heavily Mongolian (from what i can understand). the only thing i could get was something like "my target for next basho is kachikoshi" but i might be waaaaaay wrong as my Japanese language skills are non-existent :-P anyone picked up something interesting he said?
