;-) (Doing a wave...) (Doing a wave...)

(Dancing of joy...)(Singing drunk...)

finishing the basho and getting to Juryo in style !!! that's the way to do it man ! Just like your "brother" Hoshihikari.

Tough keiko from now on (i hope Onokuni lends his chests to him daily) and a long career in sekitori ranks. Eat some chanko, do some more weights and exercise to perfection your uwatenage.

there is a really proud "father" in Greece. (I should write a letter or something).

i hope John will do what he promised now and go to Shibatayama to take many pics and send my regards ;-)

So, what's his koenkai-sponsored kesho-mawashi going to look like? ;-)

Daiyubu made his ozumo debut in Haru 2001, along with a skinny fellow named Hakuho. "I wanted to win the yusho and then get promoted," he said. "I am very happy."

His most outstanding feature is his strong lower body, which enables him to withstand attacks at dohyo side. The 24-year-old rikishi said, "When I won my sixth, I called home to Mongolia. My mother was crying [out of happiness]."

his interview on NHK as the Makushita Champion for Haru 2008.

not very verbal i should add and his accent (especially the "R") is heavily Mongolian (from what i can understand).

the only thing i could get was something like "my target for next basho is kachikoshi" but i might be waaaaaay wrong as my Japanese language skills are non-existent :-P

anyone picked up something interesting he said?

Next Yokozuna on the way (Showing respect...)

In the few years I have been a member of this esteemed forum I think this makes about 36 YTB's and around 30 of them were and are Mongolians.
