Raishu 208 Posted May 27, 2009 Kazutsukasa (can't find him anywhere- help?) That's the guy formerly known as Pizango, IIRC.
Fay 1,677 Posted May 27, 2009 One of the Tomozuna Maezumo guys will officially retire soon too. As I understood they arranged something with him to employ a new tokoyama. It seems there have to be at least 12 rikishi in a stable to appoint a tokoyama. I think he is already gone cause he was no where to be seen during training. ryafuji 815 Posted May 27, 2009 I find Aotsurugi's retirement surprising - I konw he's had his injury problems but he'd only recently reached his highest ever rank (Sandanme 1). Has he given a reason?

Wow, that is an interesting example of human resource management. (Clapping wildly...)
Tikozan 4 Posted May 29, 2009 Kinryuuzan- (Yep, this time it's true, the Korean) How sad, now it's true. (Whatever above, it is funny...) I wish him all the best for his future.
Jonosuke 28 Posted June 14, 2009 (edited) I find Aotsurugi's retirement surprising - I konw he's had his injury problems but he'd only recently reached his highest ever rank (Sandanme 1). Has he given a reason? I think he reached to Sandanme West 4 or something but he was very close to Makushita and was still 26 years old. As Orion san wrote elsewhere he did get Japanese citizenship three or so years ago and has a Japanese name Tebita Togawa. He injured both knees pretty badly bu it looked as if he was coming along fine but according to Tagonoura oyakata, he simply lost the "will to fight" so there was nothing he could do. At this point it's not certain what he will be doing in the future. Edited June 14, 2009 by Jonosuke
