Kaikitsune Makoto 209 Posted November 21, 2003 Chiyotaikai is pleased with his reaction rich sumo. Left shoulder has been bad and numb after many bouts and massage + remedy is given daily. He made a scream of vile at some point during the week and decided to go for full kill even if it will kill his neck. So he is persevaring and doing good sumo in a way. KaioU said he had a good feeling about his sumo and natural flow flourished. He took his own sumo wrestling for a picnic and enjoyd his right expert's work. His face was smiling broadly as he recapped the fact that seat cushions flew like it was raining them. "Doesn't happen every day hehehe!" he said. Tochiazuma's face highlighted some features of content over Shoryu's loss. "Good thing it is, soo desu ne". He heard a loud roar by Kyushu crowd and got consolation for his agony over his own loss. He also smiled wryly to the fact that his bout against Shoryu is on senshuraku against traditions. Asashoryu's vitality was sucked out of him and he mumbled "Right expert victim..not good, not good" or maybe he was saying his own attack was hasty and right hand was not put into play but at least he talked after a loss! His cheeks were vibrating majestically as he sat having his hair done after the bout. Not many athletes have their hair done after a loss or a win for that matter. This is how it looks like when vitality is sucked out. Asashoryu's face wrinkles due to vacuum created by escaping vitality: Musoyama says he became tired mentally and physically in his kadoban shake project and he thinks his foe will be tired too. Wakatoba considered his victory over Nami a "BIG ONE". "Remaning in makuuchi it is! Cool!"
Naifuzan 1 Posted November 22, 2003 What a terrible picture. Asashoryu should have won. Asashoryu is the best!!!
Takanobaka 0 Posted November 22, 2003 Asashoryu looks like a cabbage patch kid in that pic!
Kashunowaka 300 Posted November 22, 2003 I can't see the image. Has someone been able to grab it before it disappeared?
Kotoseiya Yuichi 3 Posted November 22, 2003 Hmm... Image does work for me. Should have won... shouldn't have won... Might... Ought... Should... Would... How come he didn't win then?
Yubiquitoyama 4 Posted November 22, 2003 Hmm... Image does work for me.Should have won... shouldn't have won... Might... Ought... Should... Would... How come he didn't win then? Because it's a rotten world? (Alien stuff...) Or because it isn't? :-D So Kaio saved himself again. AND Musoyama... The age of kadoban continues (Laughing...) Asashosakari 19,331 Posted November 22, 2003 So Kaio saved himself again. AND Musoyama... The age of kadoban continues (Alien stuff...) Too bad we didn't run the universally loved "How many Ozeki after the next basho?" poll this time. (Laughing...) I'm personally glad we'll get to see both guys for a while longer...besides, the sanyaku part of the banzuke will already be shorter due to Maru's departure, and I don't think losing Kaio and (to a lesser extent) Musoyama is really what Ozumo needs right now, in terms of audience interest. Kashunowaka 300 Posted November 22, 2003 Image works now. Caption contest is on - see other topic! So Kaio saved himself again. AND Musoyama... The age of kadoban continues (Alien stuff...) Too bad we didn't run the universally loved "How many Ozeki after the next basho?" poll this time. (Laughing...) Yes, we have been a little sloppy with polls lately. (This is no good...) Do sanyaku rikishi get a career kinboshi bonus or is that only for maegashira?
Kashunowaka 300 Posted November 22, 2003 Do sanyaku rikishi get a career kinboshi bonus or is that only for maegashira? Kinboshi are for maegashira only. So it follows that those with many kinboshi are typically very talented and very inconsistent rikishi: Akinoshima, Kotonishiki, Tosanoumi, Tochinonada ... (Alien stuff...)
