pastageek 0 Posted September 26, 2009 I know inertia isn't everything on the dirt, but still it helps a lot. I personally would be ok anywhere from 600 to 1000. I hope one day to be the first sumo :-) cyborg. So just wondering what everyone here would like to weight if they could be the best sumo the could be. pastageek 0 Posted September 26, 2009 So someone is willing to goto infinity plus plus? Well that is a lot. One might well become infinitely dense of all the mass collapses on one's self.

Not to speak of teh infinit cost of paying the diapers for such a fat sumo. Haha!! I think the japanese thong would just get sucked into the gravity well. In anycase, the smaller one of 200 to 300 I bet no one would admit too. It is such a shamefully small weight anyway to be less than 300. Why with just my 322 I feel too small. sekihiryu 51 Posted September 26, 2009 I am guessing that is the ridiculously archaic system of pounds? 300kg (660pounds) is about the limit of what is practical in terms having enough mobility to be functional in everyday life. Any more and you are getting up towards the increasingly bedridden. I myself in the real world would ideally want to be 80kg with minimum body fat. If I were a Sumo wrestler I would want to be a copy of Chiyonofuji.

If I were a Sumo wrestler I would want to be a copy of Chiyonofuji. Very archaic indeed. I will use kg in the forum from now on. Well I've seen someone on youtube, I think manny yarborough who is an amateur sumo who weights well over 318 kg (over 700 Ib but I forget the exact figure [edit: I think he is as tall as akebono and 100 pounds (45.45 repeating kg) heavier]). He isn't bed ridden and if he would turn exercise more and still weigh the same I think he would be ok. Besides, there has to be a way to get more inertia so one can be a good sumo wrestler right? What about being cyber sumo? One could back machine parts into one's self and then be really heavy especially if a safe way of coating one's calcium phosphate with another metal. Fujisan 533 Posted September 27, 2009 I picked the lower weight range because I'm a small guy anyway(5:3 and 9 Stone) I like watching big men do sumo I dont want to be one thanks...

Not really sure why not, but hey I understand it is not for everyone. I would like to be heavy and a sumo wrestler scientist, but I think I would have problem with a Japanese thong. I'm just to straight to wear such a thing. No one really should be seeing each other's booty. But I do want to weigh 1000 pounds and slam into other people to knock them out of the ring. Maybe if I could invent the first true I/O brain interface, I could download all their techniques. That would be sawsome.

My body fat is a bit under 10% and if yours is that too then I think your weight is acceptable but otherwise... not. And you want to be good at sumo but have problems with a mawashi? Sorry, but I think you are all dreamful wishes and no reality. Isn't there a name for that?

And yeah and can dream because things can change. At one time sumo was all Japanese. Then foreigners came. Soon one day I bet females will be sumo wrestlers. Hey if that happens one day they will use straight clothing. lol Oh and I happen to be a chemistry and physics major. ppl like me dream and try to make those dreams a reality. You shouldn't be down on that since most of the modern conveniences you enjoy such as the computer that you post stuff with are because ppl like me dreamed. I would like to sumo wrestle but I think some of the sport's traditional rules are flawed. So sue me if I think outside the box.

Um, I would say that it is outside the norm to question the traditional clothing of Asian practices. It is inside the box for Americans to question things, well yes (how much further out could you go really?). Is that what you mean? And yeah I guess going outside the formal system would be labeled "amateur" in well anything, but that carries more negative connotation than it deserves. It would make me no better or worse @ something. And hurray for modern convenience. (Whistling...) (Clapping wildly...) So sue me if I think outside the box. Oh no, be my guest. That's why I moved the thread to the off-topic subforum, where you can freely lament all kinds of things (while still obeying the forum rules, of course) that have next to nothing to do with sumo. I was thinking ahead of the box. (Whistling...) Osmium has nothing on you. I would recommend lithium.

I was thinking ahead of the box. (I am not worthy...) Osmium has nothing on you. I would recommend lithium. Well as far as I know I am obeying the rules. Not to question your thread movingness Mr. Superadmin ,but just out of curiosity, why did you move it to stuff that is non-sumo related? I feel like I'm being offtopic by talking about sumo rules in the off topic section. Am I allowed to have this nested off topic ness? Of topic about off topic things? Wow that is an interesting concept. Is Li recommended because of its reactivity? I'm not sure I would want to burst into flame @ the touch of water.

I feel like I'm being offtopic by talking about sumo rules in the off topic section. Right, because a thread called "Largest Weight you would like to be" is so obviously about the rules of sumo. You are off-topic in your own topic. Which is why it is in Off-topic. And personally I always thought Keith Floyd looked better without Photoshop.
