Salarycap Sumo 2010 Haru

Recommended Posts

The banzuke is in(but the SCS banzuke is not on the banzuke page yet, I have yet to make that copy up, even though its finished) and the rikishi have been given prices.

There are some real bargains out there, with only 4 sekitori with prices over 200. They are: Hakuho at a whopping 492, Harumafuji at a baffling 228 due to his yusho last year, Ozeki-running Baruto at 212, and Kotooshu at 210. On the other end of the scale, there are 6 rikishi with a price under 100. They are Hakuba, Kitataiki, and the 4 promotees Okinoumi, Tokusegawa, Sagatsukasa, and good old Kasugao.

I realize that there are two M16w, but my system freaks out if there are less than 41 rikishi.

sometime before next basho. :) Seriously, I'll try to get to them this week. I've been extremely busy both at work and at home. If you want to know if you got KK/MK, simply take the average of the scores in your division, and if you're above, you're KK. A rough estimate in all 3 divisions is around 1700-1750.

Not true regarding the averages. Avg. in Makuuchi is a strong 1.911,5 while Juryo avg. is at 1.658,7 only and Makushita at 1706,1. Of course I'm aware that I'm KK but I wanted to know whether it is a 9-6, 10-5 or a even better result.

Something amazing happened in Haru basho in Salarycap Sumo. The best possible score was 2467, with a team of Baruto, Hakuho, Kitataiki, Tokusegawa, Okinoumi, Sagatsukasa. Taka, coming out of the 11th maegashira rank, had the team of Hakuho, Baruto, Kitataiki, Tokusegawa, Okinoumi, Sagatsuka, for a total of 2465 points.

Thats right, Taka missed out on a perfect team by just misplacing the order of his first two guys, as close as you can get to a perfect score without actually getting there. I'm not sure how close the last "closest to perfect" score was, but I doubt it was 2 points away. Nor do I think that it was as close as 8 points, which was achieved by our Yokozuna, Heruwejima. Heruwejima had the same team as Taka, but swapped Kitataiki and Tokusegawa. Needless to say, both got a 15-0 record.

In Juryo, both bafa and Yanen finished with 2297 points, so we go to the tie breakers. First is the size of the squad. Both have 5 rikishi, so we go to tiebreaker 2, cost of the team. Yanen's team cost 8 less than bafa's, so they get the extra point and the 13-2 yusho.

And finally, down in Makushita, the ms11 rank hit the top two spots, but Marushiki had a whopping 130 more points, giving them the yusho, and a promotion to near Juryo, if not all the way into Juryo.

So I thank you for your participation, and hope you all come back next basho.
