Never played in a team so not much experience in playing. I have neutral attitude towards basketball. I can watch it but I am not particularly interested. It is not boring as such though. What is boring is volleyball....

I like milk very much when it is VERY cold so I voted for that B-)

I agree with everything Kaikitsune said. B-)

(Except that I don't mind watching volleyball.)

I have a relatively neutral view on basket ball, but can't say I watch it very much at all. Could have something to do with the Swedish basket ball team being about 243 on a world list of national teams B-)

I've never really liked basketball that much. It was pretty fun when we played it in gym class in school, since I'm about 195cm tall and I don't think we had anyone else over 185 in my class =)

Ditto what several of the previous posters already said...I don't find basketball particularly boring (neither do I find volleyball boring though), but it doesn't hold my interest enough that I would make a point of watching it. So here's another vote for milk. B-)

Some basketball games can be interesting, while some can be extremely boring. The referees can screw up matches by whistling on a stupid little foul, which was barely a foul at all, when you least expect it. I hate that a team which is down by say, 7 points in the last 30 seconds keeps on fouling and taking timeouts, thus dragging those last 30 seconds for 10 minutes. For God's sake - you're down by 7! You've lost the frigging game, stop stalling it!

I adore Arvydas Sabonis and I supported the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA while he was playing them. If anyone here follows or used to follow the NBA, he will remember the shock of game 7 versus the Lakers, where the Blazers dropped a game they should have won. I t hink that season they were the best since Jordan's Chicago (roster-wise), but failed miserably as a team. After that I was so disappointed that I stopped caring.

I follow European basketball a bit, support some teams (that shall not be named), but I am much less interested in baketball nowadays than I used to be.

I don't play basketball myself, cause I'm not particularly tall or fast, and I'm not a good shooter or anything, so it's really not my game.

Pro basketball is probably my #1 favorite sport, although it's taken a big step backwards in the past 5 or 6 years. I used to play in high school as well, where I had the distinction of being the second tallest guy on my team at 6'1" (since all of the tall players got kicked off the team for being academically ineligible). Most harrowing experience there was playing center for a while and needing to guard Alexander Kuhl, a 7'1" 250 lb Russian who later went on to star in college at George Washington U. and is currently playing somewhere in Europe. Definately wasn't good enough to play in college (I only made the squad in high school based on my hustle and because I wasn't afraid to bang in practice), and at some point in law school I developed nasty tendonitis which now flares up every time I try to play. Thus, I'm now relegated to the bench...err...sofa to watch games.

BTW, aren't you a little young to be playing for Maccabe, or are there junior teams for them. I know some teams in the European system start signing guys when they're in their early teens and leave them on development squads until they're ready to play. Is it a situation like that, or a rec league?

Either way, hope you're having fun!

Most teams in basketball and football here have youth squads. Maccabee has about 5 of them for every age group, but Tominishiki can tell you more about that. doesn't help us much in international football though, does it..

This just dawned on me: is Maccabi by any chance named after the heroic Judah, who fought some invader or the other in the early history of Israel (according to Old Testament), and finally got squished under an elephant? (That image kind of sears itslef into young and impressionable mind (Punk rocker...) )

I've been playing Basketball for more than 20 years now (am I really that old ;-) )

The first and only Basketball club in Liechtenstein was founded 10 years ago, where I am a member since the beginning.

Our team plays in the Swiss Basketball league, but because of lack of time, I had to stop playing in the league 4 years ago.

I still play for fun with some members of the team once a week, which is always the highlight of my week.

As a former highjumper I still have quite a good bounce and my height always helped a lot (1,91m).

Ma alltime favourite player is/was Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
