Zenjimoto 40 Posted April 24, 2004 I am finally doing a little work on the SFI page, and that includes adding new members for the SFI... my memory is a bit fuzzy, and I can't seem to find the relevant thread. For sure is, Aderechelseamaru has joined the Ichimon (welcome!). But I can't remember 100% sure if there was some one else... Yokotanoharry? Sekihiryu? Would anybody else who plays Bench Sumo and is also a member of this forum like to join? Mmikasazuma? Jesinofuji? Who am I forgetting? Or, are there any of the new members that will make their Bench Sumo debut at Natsu Basho 2004? Let me know! (Applauding...) Cheers Zenjimoto
Golynohana 320 Posted April 24, 2004 well, I think its me who joined SFI together with Aderechelseamaru. We are already marked as SFI members at Takanorappa's Bench Sumo Ichimons page (Applauding...)

Zenjimoto 40 Posted April 24, 2004 After trying some games last basho I want debut in Bench Sumo at Natsu 04! :-O Thanks for great games (Shaking head...) And you did VERY well in the games you played in Haru! Congrats! :-) If it wasn't for that pesky Asafan, you would have won Rookie of the Basho honors in both, Sekitori-Toto and Sekitori-Oracle! :-) But, you were a bit ambiguous - so you are making your Bench Sumo debut... but does it mean you will join the Ichimon as well? :-) Cheers Zenjimoto

Zentoryu 154 Posted April 24, 2004 It doesn't matter how good you may or may not be in Bench Sumo. If you want to join an Ichimon, feel free to do so. I don't think any Ichimon is going to turn down a potential new member for any reason.
Zenjimoto 40 Posted April 24, 2004 I couldn't agree more... the ichimon is about comradery and fun mostly. Besides, don't sell yourself short... I have noticed you on or near the top of several games already - so there is definitely talent present! (Shaking head...) We would be delighted to welcome you as another new member, reinforcing the so far vastly underrepresented female component! :-O
Manekineko 200 Posted April 25, 2004 That's right! If we don't do something, soon we'll be known as hairy ichimon! :-O You're welcome to join us and thus decrease our hairiness a bit. (Shaking head...)
Mmikasazuma 12 Posted April 25, 2004 (edited) This is really great. Thank you. (Shaking head...) I would like to be a proud member of SumoForum Ichimon. Mmikasazuma Edited April 25, 2004 by Mmmi
Zenjimoto 40 Posted April 25, 2004 Great!! This gives us three really excellent new recruits. Of Aderechelseamaru I have a picture that "sort of" works, what about Golynohana and Mmikasazuma - please send me a head shot of yourselves (Shaking head...) Also, have you thought about what your kesho-mawashi designs should look like?
Yubiquitoyama 4 Posted April 25, 2004 Are there any special rules concerning ichimon in place in Bench sumo? In the beginning I understood that 20 was the maximum allowed number of ichimon participants but now both Sumo Forum ichimon and Doitsugo-ichimon have broken that limit. Is there any limit at all to the size of an ichimon right now? (Shaking head...)
Kintamayama 45,116 Posted April 25, 2004 (edited) s there any limit at all to the size of an ichimon right now? (Shaking head...) 1.73 meters/75 kilos. Edited April 25, 2004 by Kintamayama

Zenjimoto 40 Posted April 25, 2004 I think there was that sorta informal 20-member limit, but since Doitsugo went over, I'll be damned if we stick to it... ! :-O Anybody who has a problem with that, see me outside! ;-)

So that rule was set up. But, for the moment, it doesn't appear that Jezz is enforcing it.

Takanorappa 97 Posted April 25, 2004 (edited) North Pole is 22 members too. Um... now they're 23. I just got word of another Frostie recruit. BTW - a point of clarification. I'll make only one update to my site before the basho. Look for the new deshi on Senshuraku. Edited April 25, 2004 by Takanorappa
sekihiryu 51 Posted April 26, 2004 Maybe I should join Sakura Ichimon and boost their numbers, since I have strong connections to Japan and live here. But since I suck at Sumo games they probably wouldnt want me :-)

As stated before, no Ichimon is going to turn down a potential new member because of their records. If you're serious about joining, just let us know. Jesinofuji 11 Posted May 4, 2004 What does it take to join the Sumo Forum Ichimon? I only played bench 2 or 3 times, with inconsistant results. Also, I may not be able to log and arrange my lineup on every single day.
