Vikanohara 171 Posted May 15, 2011 I'm out. I just knew I had to stick with my new tactic of picking Ozeki until the end. (Applauding...) (Applauding...) I already tested my luck once this basho, picking against Kokkai. And the second time has lead to my elimination.
shumitto 418 Posted May 15, 2011 I survived day 1, but forgot about the game completely after picking for day 2... my bad...
Odoriou 0 Posted May 17, 2011 I just knew I had to stick with my new tactic of picking Ozeki until the end. (Sigh...) (Blushing...) I'm only picking (upper) sanyaku rikishi for years. And this is the first time my tactic actually works. Still in the game after day 10 - hurray. (Zabuton flying...) I've always been last in the rankings, though... (In jonokuchi...) Achiyama 1,245 Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) I just knew I had to stick with my new tactic of picking Ozeki until the end. (Sigh...) (Blushing...) I'm only picking (upper) sanyaku rikishi for years. And this is the first time my tactic actually works. Still in the game after day 10 - hurray. (Zabuton flying...) I've always been last in the rankings, though... (In jonokuchi...) I am out. And I am mad at myself. I was overwhelmed with Kaisei's sumo and I was expecting that he will try to break the record of most consecutive wins of a rikishi in his makuuchi debut. But I oversaw that Tochinoshin is in the Yusho hunt as well and he is a more experienced rikishi. The worst part is that my second choice won. Nevertheless, I consider this 3rd place as a huge success as this is my 3rd participation (the previous 2 times I was eliminated the 1st day, as I have a "0" on my Ranking). I think this lasting of so many days is due to the fact that one of the initial rules was not followed (Rule: Regretfully, you may not choose any Ozeki or Yokozuna unless they face each other). It was more fun to play the game this way, but of course, it may be crucial (if more than 1 player finish with 15 wins) who will be the Yusho winner. Also the more sanyaku you use the lower ranking you'll get. Congratulations to Tosahayte and Odoriu for getting so far. Good luck for the rest of the Basho. Kintamayama 45,283 Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) I think this lasting of so many days is due to the fact that one of the initial rules was not followed (Rule: Regretfully, you may not choose any Ozeki or Yokozuna unless they face each other). It is changed here, but I guess there is another rule page too.. Edit: OK, found the problem- there is one on my site too at http://www.dichne.com/chaingang.html, which is the old rule page..fixed now. Vikanohara 171 Posted May 18, 2011 I guess that rule makes more sense. At least it would be a bit more of a challenge. And thus improve the gameplay.
Odoriou 0 Posted May 20, 2011 (edited) At least it would be a bit more of a challenge. Well, as I said, I have been picking almost only Ozeki ever since. But I can not say I've been very successful in the past. (In love...) However, today Ozeki Kaio did not let me down. (Applauding...) Tomorrow: Ozeki Harumafuji! (Applauding...) Odoriou 0 Posted May 22, 2011 (edited) now, go the distance!! Your command has been executed successfully. (Bow...) Thank you for running the game. And thanks to Ozeki Harumafuji for pushing Tochinoshin out today. :-) Edited May 22, 2011 by Odoriou
