Hi everyone!

Another annual poll.

This time, which ranks will win the yusho?

In 2011, four yushos went to Yokozuna Hakuho, and one yusho went to Ozeki Harumafuji. (The '6th' yusho for 2011 was cancelled). But how will it look for 2012?

Past equivalent polls....

2011

2010

2009

2008

Please put your prediction in a comment below (naming actual yusho winners), so at the end of 2012, we can see who came closest, and maybe award a 'yusho'.

All 6 to Yokozuna Hakuho.... (Raging at computer...)

Hakuho will get 5.

An Ozeki will take 1. (Fingers crossed for Bart, but Kisenosato might surprise me and pull one off instead)

My vote was for 2 yusho by Ozeki, and 4 by Yokozuna.

Hopefully, the first may lead into the second and not all the 4 will be won by Hakuho. ;-)

Hakuho will start to slip, but will still dominate. Shogiku and Kise will slip by him for one each.

Please predict which two (or one?) Ozeki will take yushos to see who 'wins' this poll at the year's end....

If any Ozeki is going to win a yusho, I think it'll be Kotoshogiku. So two for him... then one more after his promotion to Yokozuna. ;-)

Other three to Hakuho - class is permanent.

4/Baruto+Kisenosato/0

Edit: Oh, looks like I voted for only 3 Hakuho yusho in another poll a month ago. To make it clear: That's 4 Hakuho yusho here.

Went with 4 Y's for the Hakster

and 2 for Ozekis (one for Kise & one for Shogi)

Having witnessed that Hakuho is not opposed to help getting more attention to Ozumo again by "assisting" at the installation of 2 japanese ozeki, I think he again lends a helping hand - or rather inviting mawashi grips - to get the audience excited by having not one but two Japanese yusho winners in 2012 - 9 years after Chiyotaikai, Kaio and Tochiazuma took half the yusho from Asa.

Poll closing!

Most of us think that Yokozunas will win either 4 or 5 yushos this year - (so Hakuho will be the dominant force again?)

With the exception of one vote, we think that all yushos will be won by either a/the Yokozuna, or by an Ozeki.

Well....

2 yushos were won a Yokozuna (both by Hakuho) - no one got this correct.

3 yushos were won by Ozekis (1 for Baruto, 2 for Harumafuji) - again no one got this correct

1 yusho was won by a rikishi ranked lower than Ozeki (M7W Kyokutenho) - someone got this correct.

Out of the players who commented....

No one was particularly close, but Oshirokita correctly guessed the two Ozekis to get yushos, so he can claim the Yusho for this poll.
