Hello all,

since I have been in this online community for so long (actually the only one I have stuck with) I want to share my joy with you. Last week my first child was born, a daughter! It is really a great feeling to have her around and I can only repeat Sashohitowa's words that eyeryone should feel this happiness one day.

Back to just watching her again. She was (absolutely impartially speaking :-) ) the prettiest girl in the hospital.

Congratulations!

Having myself a less than three year old daughter I know exactly how you must feel. It is an overwhelming experience and you - and your family - will have all the joy over the next years...

Thank you all!

We have a saying in Hebrew: "Girls at home bring light" [...]

Indeed they do. Especially at night when everyone is on their feet to meet her needs ;-)

Belated congratulations. Children are can be so wonderful. My son - who just turned four - is regularly watching sumo with me and we are replaying the best bouts together (his tsuppari are excellent!). When we are watching, he's commenting a lot about which one has won, which won fell on his face and such. Last basho he somwhow started to turn his attention more to the gyoji, pointing out when he raises the fan and stuff. I was never aware of that really, but of course to a child the formal kimono must come across rather female. So in one of the bouts we were watching and which turned out to be longish with a lot of come-ons from the gyoji, my son suddenly said: "The Aunt says they should knock it off!"

Noticing the crappy stream with all its lizard men artefacts, my son just informed me that "Look, they painted themselves!"
