Asashosakari 19,289 Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) Man, the wallpaper... (Sigh...) Don't they ever work on those pictures?! Photoshop, blur, two minutes... Well, they're just for the Twitter feed like that, not for "official" publishing purposes...the Kyokai tweeter probably got the raws directly from the press department photographer. yorikiried by fate 2,023 Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) I have a low tolerance there, as they are also always taking the sansho pictures in front of this wonderful wooden wall... And I can teach the Kyokai tweeter "Photoshop, blur, two minutes" in five minutes. And I don't even speak Japanese. And Photoshop is for free on the internet. You can blame the sports papers for the lack of photoshopping on those - not a Kyokai issue. yorikiried by fate, on 04 Feb 2013 - 19:08, said: And I can teach the Kyokai tweeter "Photoshop, blur, two minutes" in five minutes. I don't think that's part of her (?) job description. Whoever at the Kyokai press department does have it in his job description would probably be a bit annoyed if they were upstaged like that.Quite honestly, I doubt anyone else following the Twitter feed cares. It's not supposed to be a polished publicity interface on par with the regular press. Edit: What the heck is wrong with the quote attributions now? Kintamayama 45,085 Posted February 20, 2013 The renewed Musashigawa beya will be launched in May and not in Haru as planned initially. "It will happen in May.." explained the new Oyakata.
Akinomaki 40,363 Posted February 20, 2013 The renewed Musashigawa beya will be launched in May and not in Haru as planned initially. "It will happen in May.." explained the new Oyakata. (Again too late:) Musashigawa-oyakata moved to the new heya location on the 20th, he and his nephew etc. tidying up their baggage. Start of the heya and entering sumo of his nephew for the Natsu-basho (12.5.)

Asashosakari 19,289 Posted February 20, 2013 Maybe he is busy doing keiko in Fujishima-beya ? Or he is part of the etc. I wasn't saying it because he wasn't mentioned, but because of the delay itself.
Akinomaki 40,363 Posted February 20, 2013 He got his share of Hakuho rice - in the back, 3rd from the right Owith sumo trainees and Kabutoyama-oyakata

Asashosakari 19,289 Posted February 21, 2013 Then I'm extremely confused about the delay. Onoe-beya was basically fighting in a garage the first few months, didn't stop the oyakata from declaring independence. Maru even has a proper building already - no matter how much work still needs to be done to get it ready for everyday living, I'm really struggling to understand what's holding him and the deshi from fighting under the Musashigawa-beya name in Haru. Even more so as that presumably means his nephew won't actually step on the dohyo until July...

Agree; unless there's something we don't know about, it makes no sense to put off receiving money from the Kyokai for the keep of the deshi, and as you say, the nephew's debut is delayed by another two months. kawika 123 Posted March 22, 2013 got a chance to talk to him on Day 7 at the Osaka basho. he said his nephew would have to wait till the Nagoya basho since there is a one basho rule of the new wrestler having to wait. not sure since his nephew has been here since last year and has practice at a couple stables, if they won't an exception. his nephew was there too, sitting in the upper rows at the basho.
