Fukurou 534 Posted November 18, 2013 ISP Day 10 is not played. Default win for all, including Pizza. At least I'll get a win for once
Fukurou 534 Posted November 18, 2013 (edited) The Server is up and running at the moment. I can confirm that Sekitoto is properly displaying day 10 selections (it was displaying triplets), rikishi records and game standings, and Roto, Hoshitori and Chain are showing standings. Question is - to make an entry the usual way, or go with the alternate route. EDIT - I just entered Sekitoto the normal way, and it accepted the pick and sent me the usual pick confirmation email. Doitsuyama 1,185 Posted November 18, 2013 The server is running again, so please make your day 10 entries with the usual entry forms. Except ISP where everyone gets a free pizza.
Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted November 18, 2013 (edited) Achiyama...no offense, but please stop bloody moaning. We are all in the same boat. And as Pierre said, if it was that important to you, you should have had all those back-ups ready at hand. This kind of thing used to be a regular occurrence...let's just get on with it. Good to have a page for this info. One wonders also...if the site just occasionally needs a kick up the arse...why not give the keys to technically proficient and trusted gamers who can do that when Doitsuyama is busy? Pandaazuma, I am NOT "bloody moaning" whatever that means. I was neither blaming anybody, nor criticising, nor complaining. I just gave a suggestion. You didn't have to gang up on me with Asashosakari. There were outages before but I don't recall, for the time I have been playing the sumo games, the problems not to be fixed at least a few hours before the deadlines.Obviously, the problem(s) this time was(were) more serious. I can assure you that I haven't thought for a moment otherwise but that Doitsuyama and other people in charge (if there are such) were doing the best they could to fix the problem. Judging from Fukurou's thread (thanks for that, Fukurou) even if I had the chance to have these old notes some of the contacts there are not relevant now. My suggestion was to be created a list with alternative ways of submitting entries in order to be used in the future. That's it. Wasn't referring to your suggestion, which is fine by the way. I was referring to your earlier post, in which you wrote: "It is not fair. This half of the day somebody might have been at work, or had other plans and thought to do entries later. It's better the rijichos of the different games suggest a back up plan and an alternative ways entries to be submitted in such cases." I think the last time I - a 43-year-old man - said 'It's not fair' was...well, never mind. The point is all experienced gamers - like yourself - know perfectly well that these problems occur from time to time. We also know that the problem is usually eventually solved and that there is no point going on threads and banging on about injustice (it's not fair etc.) beyond simple notifications for the convenience of the gamesmasters on this thread. All we can do is be prepared and know what to do in such instances...and we've all had ample time to work out what emails we need as they have been discussed before. You wrote in your post as if the rijichos had never suggested back-up plans before, obviously without bothering to check that they in fact had. So that's what I meant by 'bloody moaning'...and now you've got me bloody moaning as well! ;) Edited November 18, 2013 by Pandaazuma

Doitsuyama 1,185 Posted November 19, 2013 I think I have entered and rescored everything. Feel free to check and report errors. Day 10 entries I have not entered yet, I will do so tomorrow for those who haven't done it properly until the deadline.
Zenjimoto 40 Posted November 19, 2013 (edited) Looks like the emailed Sekitoto picks for Day 9 haven't yet been entered. Same with Seki-Quad, also. At least mine hasn't been... (Help me...) Edited November 19, 2013 by Zenjimoto
Vikanohara 171 Posted November 19, 2013 I'm proud at myself for not having moaned even though I especially woke up early to select my picks to find I had to shoot in the blind. It resulted in my worst day this basho, but it's just a game after all and I'm happy to be able to play several thanks to the wonderful work of many volunteers. Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted November 19, 2013 Achiyama: And apologies if I came across as a cranky old tosser...which I am. We're all learning in the games, as I am currently learning this basho! :(

Why make an exception? If you weren't able to access the server before going to bed, you could have posted this message earlier, no? I have asked yesterday at 14:02 for recipient addresses for making my entries, however nobody felt responsible to give an answer - is that fair? If I would have had an address I would have made my picks earlier to that particular addresses. In desparation I have sent my picks this morning here in this thread. The bouts did not start at 6:15 today, so I see no reason why not making an exception. So please kindly do not hurt my motivation and accept my picks - thank you. Kintamayama 45,139 Posted November 19, 2013 For the first time ever, I couldn't give a toss about my entries-went to sleep and didn't enter and have no remorse or after-effects... I guess I'm growing old.. Hey nineteen.

But I'm a terribly gullible person, so your entry will be in...

The Sekitoto picks had been entered, but there was one thing missing. I tracked it down and now the manually entered entries should be properly scored.
