Naganoyama 5,948 Posted June 9, 2013 How does this work? Am I right in assuming that Shikimori Inosuke will be officiating during the last two bouts of the day? Will he also officiate during both Yokozuna dohyo-iri, (running round from the first to the second)? If they are running early, will he always be the one to announce the bouts for the following day, or will one of the sanyaku gyoji back him up on alternate days. This must increase his workload or at least his stress levels.
Itachiyama 119 Posted June 9, 2013 Given the condition of his poor health there should be two Tate-Gyoji for the next Basho. As number two, Kimura Tamamitsu, is also not in good condition after his stroke Shikimori Kindayu from Miyagino-beya could be promoted to Shikimori Inosuke 39th. He's only 54, thus he could be Tate-Gyoji (and Kimura Shonosuke) for over 11 years. Very lucky guy!

Nabuko 11 Posted June 10, 2013 Some of Sanyaku gyoji will take part of tate gyoji duties (or they will rotate in fulfilling duties).
