All 6 passed the initial exam, awaiting the results of the internal organs check.

6 new ones in Nagoya was last in 2002, 0 in 2007 and then 3 or less.

For Shikoroyama-beya it's Koike (Niigata, 182cm, 152kg), leaving high school after 2 years. Same school year jd Umetsu is in the same heya. “I got into the mood to also challenge. I want to rise to sekitori quickly.”

Fiamalu will have his first dohyo appearance as Musashikuni (alas, no Fuji). Musashigawa-oyakata: “I want him to build his own 'country' (kuni), with the wish to have him get to the top (yokozuna).”

It might be different in Okinawa because they have fewer rikishi to support, but generally the support in such cases runs only through the school connection, e.g. all those rikishi with a Saitama Sakae background might be receiving support by Saitama inhabitants as Sakae graduates, but not really as "Saitama rikishi"; that's usually limited to those who were actually born there or at least lived there for longer than just the three high school years.
