Akinomaki 40,053 Posted July 30, 2016 Mongol TV station UBS seems to have implemented the pay wall for their internet services now. Just tried to do a test run and when I logged in, this instruction screen in cyrillic appeared. I guess it says 4900 MNT for 30 days access (1 USD = 2000 MNT) 9000 MNT for 30 days (maybe with better streaming quality?) Can anyone help / confirm the content and walk us through the registration steps? many thanks in advance! 2-3 USD per basho (Makuuchi live coverage) would be a steal compared to the NSK offer! I registered to watch the sumo world championships - live is free, but the archives demand the pay service. Has anyone succeeded in getting to the archive videos otherwise? egparis18 622 Posted July 30, 2016 I just tried once more to pay for the service, and the transaction was refused again. There's no other way to get into the archives.
Asashosakari 18,974 Posted July 30, 2016 I'd try, but I'm kinda worried the payment might actually work because two days of the amateur world championship isn't really worth €4.30 for me... Anyway, the larger payment appears to be for people located outside Mongolia, so I'm guessing a paid account at the lower tier will be geoblocked to non-Mongolian IPs. egparis18 622 Posted July 30, 2016 I've tried to pay 4 or 5 times. Sesom tried to pay with 2 different credit cards. Refused. Everything goes like clockwork, the transaction appears to have gone through, then you get a message saying it failed. It only happens to me on UBS.
