Matches are now up to mid Makushita. Nothing on Niji yet. If I am reading the schedule correctly, Niji will pick up sumo coverage at 4:30 PM JST. UBS should start coverage at the start of Makuuchi (about 4:10 PM JST).

They wait until 4:30, it'll be nearly half-time of Makuuchi....

For me, UBS is running about 10 seconds ahead of TVJapan and several minutes ahead of Niji.

Today Paralympics were spoiling sumo, tomorrow is worse with a parliament debate having it start on 5:05 p.m. JST. It's UBS again.

It's pretty bad when the NSK site shows the results for a match that hasn't been streamed yet. I disconnected from Niji a couple times, just to force a re-buffer to get closer to real-time.

Thanks for the video!

I really liked how Kakuryu used Endo's aggressiveness against him - just set himself at the edge, then waited for Endo to come charging at him (again) - and helped Endo right off the dohyo. Although I bet they both had a headache after.

Speaking of aggressive, quite an aggressive start for Harumafuji. Yet it came down to what hit first - Toyonoshima's body, or the top of Harumafuji's head. Quite the somersault - right off the edge of the dohyo!

And then there was Shohozan... "ok, Hakuho, I've made a bit of show of fighting you, you don't have my belt any longer and have stopped pushing me and aren't touching me anywhere else, so I'll just turn around and quietly step out" (I'm sure there had to be more to it than that, but that's what it's looked like to me on live and on every replay)

A suggestion for the video captions - could you use something a little less "blocky"? Today's captions were hard to read for me.

Hakuho was not amused at all that Shohozan tried to grab his left arm "Kaio style" kotenage.

At last a Japanese proxy was available again – if not or without using Stealthy at all you can get the same result with my same procedure by putting a Japanese proxy from a published list (I cant find one this or others at the moment) into your browser's or the system's proxy setting and switch it on and off there.

NHK news7 (hidden) videos:

Day 1: top: Kakuryu-Endo, later: Hakuho - http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/html/20140309/k10015840441000.html

Day 2: top: HF-Endo, later: Kakuryu - http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/html/20140310/k10015869791000.html

No picture so far on niji, which is not good for me..

NIJI software doesn't respond... :-(

I am thinking of spending some bucks on jpPlayer again.

On the bright side, the commentators over at UBS decided to have a rather quite day which means the original NHK comments can be heard quite well.
