This IS chess game, You must have great luck to win Yusho. For next basho I have again chess strategy, let's see how it ends.

Finally Jejima had his luck.

You mean it is a game of Jezz...? ;-)

it is rather pointless playing a game where one can win without even bothering to have a look at the bouts to choose from.

I propose:

1) Limit the number of A´s. For example two-thirds of the total, i.e.14. (Same for B´s)

For those who insist exceed this limit will be penalized a point for each excess.

So Jejima begin with seven negative points.

I bet he will change is strategy.

2) Encourage bet on X's.

This seems logical to me because the number of these are almost fewer than A´s and B's. It's a higher risk then the premium should be higher.

Therefore I propose that the hit on the crosses should be double than normal.

I think this would make the game more diverse.

However, there should be a limitation on the number of crosses (if not Jejima´s revenge would be immediate: 21 X's and with 7+ he would soon have 14 points giving him high expectations of victory.

So I propose a maximum of 10 X´s.

3)

Consider Jejima persona non grata and ban their entry into this game. b0240.gif (Just Kidding, of course)

The professor and I had a discussion earlier today regarding this. The A and B assignment criteria will change starting with the Hatsu basho. My goal has always been to eliminate skill or knowledge as factors in the yusho determination. The more we depend on luck, the better.

Hi, all gamers, Chessers, Jezzers!

I'm very old & conservative, think Asojima does great work, just from 2-21 match must shuffle A&B positions. Choosing matches is super. No need to make new game, doing dbl X or other things.

Jejima's factor is good cherry on pie. (Scratching chin...) (Cold...) (Locked...)

Go on Aso+Pro team :-)

Naaah, he won't go intai.

He will rather go "all B, please!"

I once thought that I just make an "all A" entry BEFORE Jezz just to see what he might do... :-)

Harry did that once. I picked all As as usual.

I can definitely appreciate Flohru's comments, but I just see this game partly as a bit of fun and also a mini-challenge to my tactical abilities as I have tried several approaches and all of them have been dismal failures...but I will one day conquer this game!! Muhahahhahahaa.

In the meantime, I'll continue being utterly useless at this tricky little game.

Don't change this game no matter what tactics are performed by participants. "All A Please" has the same chances as any row of A,B,X. The main target of gaming is fun, fun and again fun. Jejimas "All A Plaease" has won this time, but many other times it did not. Have we yelled for changing the rules these other times? No! And we were right not to do so.

The only thing that will change is the way that I choose which rikishi is A and which rikishi is B. I am too old and lazy to change anything else.
