Kakuryu was forced to take evasive action as Tochiozan had him on the run at the start, but the Yokozuna came back to win and remain undefeated.

Following the end of the day's sumo, the yobidashi head to the yagura above the entrance of the stadium to perform the hanedaiko, an encouragement to spectators to return the next day.
