I'm torn on whether Terunofuji will earn his tsuna in '16 or after Hatsu '17.

And that's it... Kotoshogiku seems to be half an injury away from intai, and if Goeido gives us another year of 8-7, 7-8, 9-6, 7-8 etc and is still Ozeki, I'll go join sumotalk...

As far as upwards mobility, I don't think Teru is ready for a double feature Yusho yet, and I really can't see who else could be the next Ozeki as things stand.

Wishful thinking for Tochinoshin, but after predicting massive demotions/retirements for 2015 and being wrong, I am going the opposite way for 2016.

No new Yoks, no new Ozeki. Goeido will continue to be propped up to avoid falling out. Terunofuji needs some time for the knee to get better before he gets the tsuna in 2017. And Kotoshogiku will be allowed to limp along until he retires in Kyushu.

Out of the Yokozunas, Hakuho is supposedly the most likely to go intai in 2016!

Out of the Ozekis - more than half of us expect Goeido *and* Kotoshogiku to lose their Ozeki rank in 2016.

More than half of us think that Terunofuji will get promoted to Yokozuna in 2016!

Ichinojo has the most support for a new rikishi to make Ozeki in 2016.

So, the same seven rikishi who started the year in the top two ranks all remain in the top two ranks at the end of the year. 

Jejima, Terao, Oshirokita and gijo were the only four players (out of 36) who predicted this!

Out of the four above, three of them predicted that Terunofuji would become a Yokozuna - only gijo didn't!

Also, gijo correctly predicted that there would be no new Ozekis!  So, with 3-out-of-3, gijo is the clear winner of the yusho for this poll. 

If we look at the actual predicted banzuke, I think Tsubame deserves an honorable mention - despite Santa's Little Helper being ranked as an Ozeki...!
