IIRC Harumafuji did a distance learning programme and he can now be a qualified policeman in Mongolia.

Terunofuji is this day chief of the Nagoya Naka ward central police station.

With the Aichi cops' mascot Konoha-keibu: the prefecture bird is the konohazuku, the scops owl, this is the only police mascot in Japan that has the rank of police officer (keibu).

Harumafuji

was in Mongolia from the 26th to the 30th, apparently also at the police school where he learns by correspondence education and may next year graduate and get the qualification to be a police officer, like his late father.

And he learns more: Harumafuji qualifies for graduate school, though he's having a break right now

Mitakeumi yesterday was chief of the Samezu driving test centre in Shinagawa ward, Tokyo, managed by the Metropolitan police. His first time in a patrol car, he had difficulties to get into the Fairlady Z, later he sat in the back (rikishi are forbidden to drive - but also there on the test course?). http://www.nikkansports.com/battle/sumo/news/1882088.html

A new variety: Mitakeumi was museum director for a day at the Tetsu museum in Sakaki, Nagano, where the exhibition "Sumo and swords" is on display now, after having been at the Osaka museum of history. The locals seem to be really excited over Asanoyama.  It appears to have been a long dry spell for Toyama; if I read the DB correctly, the last Toyama rikishi to make Maegashira was Komafudo, who came up for a cup of coffee in 1989.
