Rules in a (very small) nutshell: Guess the thirteen makuuchi rikishi you expect to have the fewest wins this basho. You may submit your entry at http://udh.seisa.de/udh_index.html. Once you have selected your team, please root for them as much as you can. The game was not intended to honor any failure, but to stimulate interest in the less successful rikishi. The deadline for your entries will be the first day of the basho (Sunday, January 8th) at 12pm Japanese Time. Good luck! Too early to tell yet but the Washi duo seem to be good candidates for some more top ten placements in the list. Btw, the one believer has many strong maegashira in high slots. His "non-performance" according to the table in 2016 is beyond words. 73 Ekigozan Y x-x Y 4-11 Y x-x Y x-x Y x-x Y 1-14 Y 5-25-60 4 no-shows and two DD MK's. And in Hatsu'17 he is absent again. Why on earth is he still holding this rank? Wouldn't it be possible to adjust the rules for Intai of Yokozuna just like Doitsuyama did in 2016 for Hoshitori? UDH has always been pretty close to the Hoshitori rules and ranks (the "seki-zeki" rank is the only major difference, and that's just laziness -- otherwise I would not notice just recently demoted ozeki), and so I might change that, too. Well, it is very easy : The demotion (retirement) criteria for a Yokozuna is failure to meet 45 wins in six successive basho (absences count as 7 wins). A retired Yokozuna may enter in subsequent tournaments from the M16 rank. And I'm not sure what Takanohana has to do with Ekigozan's frequent absentism. Do you really want to compare these two cases? In both cases some people took every word and every (non-)action waaaaay to serious.
