Looking at these full size photos of the somewhat critical bout between Kaisei and Ikioi, I can't help feeling Kaisei may have had some of Ikioi's hair in his right hand...  Or does he have his hand closed to avoid catching hair between his fingers?  I'd hate to think Ikioi lost out on a Kantosho due to a missed hansoku call...

Yeah, I noticed that, too.  However, at the time of the photo Kaisei would have been pushing, not pulling his opponent; is there a hansoku for "hair pushing"?:-S

I decided to check the Japanese list of hansoku.  In Japanese, the verb tsukamu ("to grab") is used.  So the question is not so much whether a wrestler is pulling or pushing.  It is more whether the opponent's hair was inside the grasp of a wrestler.

While the photos do not reveal whether or not Kaisei had a handful of hair, it's just strange to see someone push with a closed fist rather than an open hand...
