Hello everyone from NE England

Recommended Posts

I'd like to extend my greetings to you all from the chilly north east coast of England. Coming from this place, I can tell you there's not many people in which to 'talk sumo' with here (lol) so it's nice to see a forum like this. Like many people from England, I grew up watching sumo on channel 4, it was very much a family occasion, and my first memories of Konishiki, Mainoumi, Akebono, Taka and Waka will always stay with me.

I could go on some more but as an introduction I think that's enough (lol sorry) so I'll leave it here.

Thank you all

Welcome! Shields, eh? I was at uni in Newcastle from 1988-92/3-ish so I remember it well! Yeah, I got into sumo the same way. Memories...
