That's where you're wrong. I prefer to fast while eating.

And I prefer to eat fast, is that wrong?

Old? Are you calling me old?

I was going to suggest we go with "wily veteran Kintamayama" but arriving after a page of fluff posting, I'm not sure it's even topical anymore.

Fast? I thought you prefer to eat a triple burger instead of fast

The term for abstaining from food is called fasting. Since no food is entering one's body and nothing is being metabolized, should't that term be changed to "slowing" instead?

This topic has deteriorated from a discussion about knee surgery to one referring to people's aging and to triple burgers with cole slaw on the side. My comment about the more proper term for not eating has obviously deteriorated this discussion even further to a point where it no longer can be saved. I believe it should be ended now.

One more thing. The only proper side dish that goes with a triple burger (or a burger of any kind) is fries--well done, of course. If old people who live in Israel prefer cole slaw instead, they have a lot to learn about the art of burger eating.

No, it's kosher. A cheeseburger would be treyf.

This just in.   Kintamayama was just injured while eating a large quantity of unhealthy food with Hakuho.   They were trying to see who can eat more in 5 minutes.   Kintamayama's stomach gave out in 4 minutes and 32 seconds when he couldn't stomach the thought of losing to a goat.   Doctors are tending to his stomach and Kintamaya is expected to return.   Hak was seen hobbling away from the scene with a grin and several large bags of hamburgers.

What´s treyf? It can Shirley only mean delicious if it's used to describe a cheeseburger  ;-)

Really? My grandma often made cole slaw with bacon (everything is better with bacon and it's a common receipt here), doesn't sound kosher...

This should put an end to this discussion.

What kind of lunatic puts dairy products in cole slaw?

Or bacon for that matter. Once you start putting bacon in everything, then everything starts to taste like bacon and it stops being special. Quite apart from being treif.

Sumo: Grand champion Hakuho undergoes successful surgery on right knee

Quote

Sumo grand champion Hakuho underwent successful endoscopic surgery on his right knee at a hospital in Tokyo on Thursday, sources close to his Miyagino stable said.

Hakuho, who won last month's Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament with a perfect 15-0 record, was forced to withdraw from an ongoing regional tour due to pain in his right knee. He underwent the procedure to remove a bone chip that was causing the pain.

Stablemaster Miyagino, who is scheduled to see Hakuho on Friday, said he will discuss with the 33-year-old Mongolian whether he can compete at the Kyushu Grand Sumo Tournament next month...

1. KFC/'muricans

2. You don't murder it with bacon. It's a small amount of diced bacon just to add that little extra. Works even better with potato salad.

Too soon? IatY, steady mate. Then, now, always an HMF fan. A bit of tongue-in-cheek playfulness. Despite his in the ring brilliance, the former Takanohana oyakata was consistently a bit off in matters of NSK management. A problem rectified too late for our most recent grand champion retiree.

Milk products in coleslaw dressing?  It's fairly common to have eggs in them, but that's merely something in the dairy case at the grocery store, not an actual dairy product.  It may be "creamy", but that's not because there's cream in it (usually).

Kneading other stories into a forum thread?   Impossible!

BTW, someone change the thread's title to Kintanayama eating story thread .... puuuuulease.

It's often made with mayonnaise, which contains egg yolk, even if there are no other eggs in it. From the point of view of this discussion that's OK though, because my understanding is that eggs are pareve.

Research reveals that in the South it's not too uncommon to add buttermilk to cole slaw. Just sounds like something that might spoil, if you ask me.
