Hello from Slovakia

Recommended Posts

Hey all!

I´ve started to follow sumo thank to Eurosport daily highlights back in the days (I guess around 2001-2002) and was a huge fan of Yokozuna Asashoryu and Ozeki Kaio back then. After Eurosport stopped showing sumo in 2007 or so I put sumo on the back of my head somehow and came back to it 3-4 years ago mainly watching the daily recaps on youtube. My favorites from my "new sumo era" include Onosho, Takakeisho and Takayasu

I chose my shikona because of my love of nature and mountains

Hello and welcome to the realm of those who post! There are many European members who share your Eurosport experience. Ozeki Kaio was one of my favourites way back then too.

Welcome to the Forum!  When you stopped following Sumo in 2007, would you have guessed that a Bulgarian, an Estonian and a Georgian would someday win a yusho?

Oh I agree with you on that one......

The way the UK is going it will be like the USA and the  Russian federation on the streets before you know it......

I look at the crime statistics for the USA and I see the future of the UK.....

Lol I wouldnt say that its any more dangerous than any European country...

Yamanashi - I certainly wouldnt but its great to see European rikishis doing well. Tochinoshin and his run to Ozeki promotion was nice to see. Too bad he is dealing with injuries now - I am concerned about him for the upcoming basho.

Cant wait for tomorrow guys
