If I have overlooked a more suitable thread I humbly ask the mods to do the necessary. Suginomori Junko (Isegahama-oyakata's wife), Hakuhō Sayoko (Magaki-oyakata's wife) and Kimura Hisanosuke (makuuchi gyoji) received the Sumo Achievement/Effort Award from the Eiraku(?) Club, a successor social club to one founded at the Waseda University. The prizes were for: Suginomori Junko: supporting Isegahama oyakata in producing two yokozuna from Isegahama-beya Hakuhō Sayoko: supporting Hakuhō in winning 45 championships Kimura Hisanosuke: training young gyoji. Suginomori Junko commented that the award felt like a prize for being in charge of a heya for 30 years. But the more interesting titbit came from Hakuhō Sayoko: she in effect said that Magaki would be a heya owner in August.
