(Listen with headphones, or you'll miss the bass line.)

Shows how little you know about my equipment. (Punkrocker...)

Heavy metal from Mongolia. Originally posted in Bench Sumo fantasy game but the player didn't do it here, so I'm just the messenger.  :-)

Okay, this one is growing on me...

So much that I am putting it on my list of favourite newly heard songs.

A great song but the addition of Jacobi Shadix turns it into an excellent song I could play all day .

"Hu,hu,hu,hu,hu"

My friend Wayne thinks my my music tastes is at best "excentric" or at worst I am deliberately picking bands that are unusual because it makes me stand out...

I cant wait to hear what he makes of "The Hu."

I really am loving these guys.....(Punkrocker...)

Wayne liked the song but I dont know how much he watched it though because  he said that the hu never sang it in Mongolian and the band werent Mongolian anyway.

Wayne can be an idiot some times.

I also suspect alcohol played a part in that aswell.

As most of you know I dont drink but Wayne  and my other friend Mark make up for it with copious amounts of vodka...

I also asked Mark if he liked the song he just nodded his head...

Mark is a delicate person, not like me and Wayne and looked a bit shellshocked by The Hu .

The spice girls are more his thing.

One of the reasons I loved  the  Hu with Jacobi shaddix,is that Jakobi  looks like he is having so much fun.

I 'm jealous of him I wish it was me.

I do want to ask a question about it though

I read on the internet that none of the Hu band can speak English and I'm  sure jakoby shaddix  cant speak  Mongolian,so how did they manage to colaberate on this song or are the internet sources wrong?

They either used "google translate" or, more seriouslt,  they probably had a human translator with them.  ;-)

Regular translators.  The guest artist gets a translation and overall theme for the song, then writes and sings lead vocal for one or more sections of the song.  That's basically how Lzzy Hale collaborated on "Song of Women".

Incidentally, the "creation myth" that the Hu came together as a bunch of down-and-out street kids is fiction.  They were chosen from among graduates of the Mongolian State Music and Dance Conservatory in Ulaanbator.  Their director is a fellow named Dashka.

I will take your word for it.

I must say I didn't think much of the 'song of women' though....

On the subject of speaking English I'm almost sure I heard the lead singer(The one not playing an instrument)speak English  on one of the other Hu videos but I cant remember which one ...

If I'm right it would explain why Jakoby seems friendliest with him and why he enters and exits with him...

Something else on the video I cant help laughing at,check out the look of sheer exhaustion on the face of one of the backing band at 3:28 on the video.(Laughing...)

I'm on that side of YouTube and it's 1977 again! Except our class weren't as good as these guys and we probably didn't play exactly this one. Ah, but the sound of two dozen recorders! My speciality was the vibrato.

Just to say that The Hu and Jakoby shaddix -The wolf totem has knocked long time favourite Five finger death punch-Wash it all away from No 1 spot on my new music list.

Even bigger than that it slips in  behind Meat loaf-Bat out of hell in my all time favourite list.

This song just blows me away.(Punkrocker...)(Punkrocker...)(Punkrocker...)(Punkrocker...)(Punkrocker...)(Punkrocker...)(Punkrocker...)(Punkrocker...)

Spoiler

Another song by a band I had never heard of until today has also got me singing along to it...

If someone would post it here for me...

The band is called "Wind rose" and the song is "Diggy, diggy hole."

Dont be fooled by the name, this is one of heaviest bands I have heard in a long time...

Italian heavy metal apparently.

At last, the yawning gap where Tuscan bands with Nordic Tolkien Dwarf vibes should be ... has been plugged.

The musicianship on this video is good; the intro reminds me of the Hu Band.

@Fujisan, they've played at Bloodstock in Walton-on Trent, which is a mere 2.5 hour drive from Cleethorpes on the A38.  Maybe you can arrange a caravan the next time they play there.

Well, that went artsy right away and, as it's a Rammstein video, NSFW as was to be expected.

Unfortunately it is a long way to go for someone who cant drive and has no access to to anyone with a car...

I have thought about going through a travel agent but it would be 'Five finger death punch' I would like to see live.

All round I think they are the better band.

Five Finger Death Punch was the last concert I went to before COVID shut it all down. Hope you get to go sometime, they put on a great show.

I do too.

The only band I have seen live was Kiss in 1983,1984 and 1996

Five finger death punch,is the first band since then,I have seriously  thought  about seeing live.

It's crazy how you discover something new every day. Well this is quite old but it's new for me.  That's a Russian band by the way even if they sing in English.
