Akinomaki 40,751 Posted July 8, 2020 (edited) At last we get to see proper sekitori keiko - Kakuryu today did sanban-geiko with Kiribayama - 10-0, after 2 months proper sumo keiko again for the yokozuna. He has a special incentive to get the yusho: a yusho photo with his baby daughter (3rd child), born in April. He like Hakuho and others is anxious, because they are not able to go for degeiko. o o o o o o o o 90 minutes of Michinoku-beya asa-geiko by the NSK - starting with Kiribayama warming up. Kiribayama first lent his chest in butsukari-geiko, then had several bouts with lower ranked - he lost 1, then the 10 with Kakuryu and in the end a message from the 2. The media focus on Asanoyama - he has Asabenkei as sekitori opponent, but they had no bouts together - he did about 10 bouts with makushita. Mitakeumi did about 20 bouts with sandanme and makushita. oo ovid oo o o vido On the 8th he told in a phone interview that he was shocked when he was home in Nagano a while ago. Someone approached him with "You look a lot like Mitakeumi". He: "I often get that told. I'll tell him with regards." Reply: "I support Enho now, because he (Mitakeumi) frequently loses recently." o The full asageiko today came from Miyagino-beya, starting with the sekitori warming up.
