Banner/background photo

Hi all. Is there an option to add a photo to the banner/background area on my profile page? That purple and grey graphic looks so dull to me. Thanks.

Click on your avatar.  In the resulting screen click on Cover Photo in the upper right corner.  Click on Upload photo, and you are on your way.

FYI I click everywhere on my profile page and can find no "Cover Photo" option anywhere. Do I need a certain number of posts for this option to appear?

Click on your avatar.  The resulting display has a cover photo option  in the upper right corner.

Thanks for replying. I click my avatar on my profile page and it only displays the avatar photo. The other link there is for Profile Photo only. I see no Cover Photo option there

Clicking on my avatar everywhere else takes me back to my profile page. I assume it's somewhere on that page. Sorry I swear I'm not blind -- am I just not clicking on the right things?

Try clicking on the avatar that is displayed with your last post.  When I do that, I get both edit profile and cover photo options in the upper right

Clicking on the avatar next to my post takes me to my profile page (http://www.sumoforum.net/forums/profile/20-saburo/) Upper right has Edit Profile only. Avatar on this page is for profile only and not the background.

Perhaps there is a minimum post requirement that needs to be fulfilled before this and other options open up for me...

Interesting.  I can't get a cover photo option, either.  And I've got more than 100 posts.  I've got Firefox, and I've also tried Safari.  Is it an Apple thing?  I don't have Chrome on this machine, so I haven't checked.

Using Windows 10, I get the cover photo option in Edge, Firefox and Chrome.

Thanks for the info.  Well, only 485 more posts to go; they can't deny cover photos to a Yokozuna!

FWIW, the options in the cover photo drop down are Remove photo, Reposition photo and Upload photo.

I notice you are a Regular Member rather than an Active Member. Perhaps that makes a difference.

Might have something to do with a change of the forum's software. The "newest" Active Member is @Gurowake, who joined April 24, 2014. Nobody who joined afterwards has that status.

But as usual, only @Exil could provide a definite answer...

Thanks everyone. I mostly lurk here during hon-basho. I belong to a slew of message boards and the first thing I always do is try to make my profile page snazzy. In lieu of actual content, that is...
