Juumonji OtaMegane 16 Posted January 21, 2021 I love listening to this music. [Bad Apple!!] Cover by ShouRinka with Traditional Japanese Instruments. Makes me feel nostalgic.. When I visited Japan in 2002. I was 12 years old. But very memorable and unforgettable.

sumojoann 1,268 Posted January 22, 2021 (edited) This music is beautiful! Thanks for posting it. I hope you don't mind me piggybacking onto your thread. I'd like to present a video featuring a traditional Japanese form of singing called enka. It is a type of music that was very popular pre-war and has had a resurgence in popularity. The themes are love and loss, loneliness, enduring hardships and persevering in the face of difficulties. The singer in this video is Miss Alana, a half Japanese-half American young woman. I love her voice. She has entered a number of enka singing contests in Japan, where she was born and raised. Her friend took her to a karaoke cafe and recorded her singing. The photos make my heart ache for Japan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2-hVO5Pf4A Information about enka music https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enka Edited January 22, 2021 by sumojoann
Juumonji OtaMegane 16 Posted January 23, 2021 You are welcome. :) And thank you for the informations. ^^ I like Enka too since I watched Date Kiyoshi / Dante in SKET Dance. :) I started getting curious and after I searched and listened to some music I finally fell in love in it.
